Need a loan?

I can provide micro-loans for any members with valid collateral! Just fill out the form below and post it here; do not PM me with any loan requests. I will direct you back here.

Application

Code:
Username:
Loan Amount:
Repayment Amount:
Duration:
Collateral:

What do I consider as valid collateral?

All collateral should be higher value than the loan itself.

  • Any stable altcoin
  • BitcoinTalk Account(s)
  • Physical Goods
  • Most items not included below

What is NOT valid collateral?

Vod states it best.

What is not considered collateral?

- Items not in hand.  Don't trust a user that promises to give you something *when* they default!  Tracking numbers only show something has been mailed - it could be an empty box.
- Future income.  You can prove you'll make xx coins in the next few days, but nothing forces you to send those coins to pay your debt.
- Identification.  So what if they can prove who they are.  Are you going to spend more money and time taking them to court on untested legal grounds?  You'll probably just walk away, like everyone does.  ID is useless.
- Games codes or similar.  To verify the collateral you need to use the code, which destroys the collateral.  Consider this a purchase, not a loan.  (Post in Digital Goods instead)
- Most new alt-coins or alt-coins that trade for satoshis are not good collateral as they can become worthless overnight.
- Paypal should never be used - they are anti-bitcoin and will rule against you 100% of the time.  Escrow can't even help, as paypal charge backs can come over 6 months later!
- Most valuable online accounts can easily be recovered by social engineering (the user contacting support to say they were hacked, and regain control of the account)  Examples:  Steam

Repayment

All loans should be repaid to:

Code:
15wvVzHQ4BcNj4CCnAgCCxdVcS2EF85hEz

I will make everyone repay to a specific address if my loan service becomes bigger.

Escrow can be used if the loanee requests so. Any reputable escrow will do; however, if they require a fee, the loanee will pay it.

Just to be clear, I mentioned I was in favor (for) flagging them, and I may do that.  But I'm not going to automatically do it everytime an account is used.

In that thread you quoted, TC (Tomatocage) left negative trust for a user that defaulted.  Then the account was sold, and TC was asked to (and did) remove the negative trust.  He posted he will not do that (remove the negative trust) again.

Beware if you use an account as collateral, as negative trust may make it worth less.

I post for interest - not signature spam.

i would like to know if you do so, just to stop selling of accounts. if i think the account is worth it, you knock of any chance to get the amount back when selling it.

Yes u r correct. All these default trust members behave like this forum belongs to their father property. I think it now time to strip the power from vod. The other two any how already quite now it is time for him.

There is a warning trust feedback on your account so I think you must provide some collateral to get any loans otherwise no one will give you this small loan. Even though you asked small amount what is the guarantee that you will pay back so at least put your account as collateral.

I will grant you this loan without collateral because I don't think you'll ruin your account over 0.01BTC.

Please post your bitcoin address. Repayment address is in the OP.

You made 0.01BTC with a gambling faucet? That's the craziest thing I've heard so far today, but if it works, it works. Smiley

Open for loans!
