Gambling is gambling. It can't be profitable.

Standard everyday DICE roling is probably not profitable in the long run.
But believe me, if you treat gambling as your source of income, and don't let emotion take over you can profit from certain games.
As many said before sports betting is definitely up there also Poker (but don't try it if you are medium skill player, you will be destroyed).

I agree here.  Dice, or any "House Edge Game" for that matter, is a losing proposition in the long run mathematically.  Sports betting can offer some propositions that offer a positive expected value which is profitable in the long term mathematically.  The trick, however, is to be able to recognize the difference between a -EV proposition and a +EV proposition, and that takes some skill.

Poker is a game of skill and can be profitable to those who have attained the skill to master the game, which requires some experience due to the "trendy" nature of the game's evolution.....And, this is where I disagree that medium skill players shouldn't play; one needs to play poker to learn poker.  While I agree that at some table limits a medium skilled player would be "crushed," there are some table limits that will provide a player with the experience necessary for them to advance their game to the next level.

Sometimes it is possible to arbitrage bets, in that case you have a secure profit. Perhaps, you need to bet hundreds or even thousands of dollars to get just a few bucks, also, it is usually only possible in fiat casinos; bitcoin or altcoin casinos usually have reduced odds.

I have found interesting to make live bets on tennis, the odds are very volatile. You can wait for a skilled, top player to have a bad start and bet on him/her. For example, a few days ago E. Makarova was playing an unknown opponent; she was  down 3 - 6 and 2 - 4, but she had disputed most of her opponent's services (without breaking, she had lost most points 40 - 30, or even 40 - 40). The odds on her were about 10... and, guess what, she pulled a win! I have seen that happen many times, I got 2.something odds on Monica Puig once she had lost the first set against a 100+-ranked player.

Oh, yes, real time betting on open markets is a whole different beast altogether.  Some systems are allowing wagers to be made all the way up until the end of the event.  In those type of situations mastering arbitrage is an absolutely necessary skill.  There are some prediction market platforms coming out very soon that are going to make some people who know how to leverage their positions in real time some huge profits....it's going to be exciting!

Hint: Pay attention to the Augur market....it's going to make some millionaires out of peasants!

I think that playing the stock market is the most profitable type of gambling....futures trading seems to have gotten a fair number of people rich!  However, it takes a pretty large initial bankroll to realize the potential of trading on the stock markets, which is out of most of our reach.  So, until my bankroll is large enough, I will settle for second best....POKER!

Dice might be the easiest and lowest house edge of mining if you rely on luck.

But Sports betting or binary options betting might be of higher probabiltity for some who have some insight knowledge, but not for everybody.

I don't think this is how it works. If you bet on a good team you should risk much more money than you can win in best case scenario. And if something unpredictable happens you lose a lot, much more than your several previous wins combined. That's why all those bookmaker's offices thrive.

It can be profitable of course if you are doing right and if you are lucky, but it is very hard to be lucky and you also dont even know when you will win some money.
There are many types of gambling that you can have some profit of it, the most important is that you only need some luck.

I feel the type of lucrative gambling is betting on sports. it may be very easy to predict when the play is a big club against small clubs
