I dont think also that bitcoin halving event be canceled this year.It is a event hosted and prepared by developers of bitcoin and every users are waiting it for 4 years so bitcoin halving event must be launched because if that will be canceled maybe some users wil boycott bitcoin.

Bitcoin halving wouldnt cancel cause as we see bitcoin price is so high like bitcoin halving wouldnt cancel, Bitcoin is hitting 620$ like last week its 520$, Bitcoin increases 100$ for this week

I dont find any reason that would cause halving to be cancelled. we are moving up slowly slowly so dont think negatively. everything will be fine.

yeah there is no reason that bitcoin halving will be cancelled, and the developers will not think about its cancellation as with that many people will be disappointed from bitcoin and after that they will never prepare for another halving and will not trust on that. |

The question was asked in 2015, and now the OP is also on the view that yes halving is going to happen and it will not be cancelled and will have a very good effect on the value of bitcoin, and if the halving cancelled then afetr that no one will trust on any news of bitcoin developers and with thet bitcoin will become weaker.
By the way halving is really happening.
I remarked that for some newbie is not going to be confused and yes halving is really happening. |

If something should threaten Bitcoin existence as such and uncapping it (or cancelling halving, for that matter) would save it, I have no doubts that all required changes will be made (hard fork or no hard fork)... As we can see price is always increasing so i think that halving will not be canceled for sure, many miners will lost half of theirs earnings but who cares?

The second reason is that because it had a set date, it can't be cancelled because it is already happening. The slow blockchain transaction sometimes are the proof that it will not be cancelled.  Yeah, bitcoin is decentralized and trustless which means that nobody can actually cancel anything that is already going to happen. And halving is happening every 210k blocks, or 4 years approx. It's like a bitcoin transaction, it can't be reversed once it's set. |

Since it is decentralised, if majority of the network supports cancelling the fork, the developers can introduce another Bitcoin software which allows for 25BTC of reward without halving. However, it would have a fork where only those who supports it will join it. If the majority of the community doesn't want it, the modified one(extremely likely) would become another altcoin. It's like a bitcoin transaction, it can't be reversed once it's set.
That is if the transaction is before the checkpoint. Unless the community wants to run a modified client which changes it. |

Yes, why would anyone want to cancel the halving? Canceling it would have no positive effects whatsoever. |

It is not to canceled, Bitcoin, a deflationary store of value as opposed to reserve currencies and fiat-money, The reward for mining Bitcoin is expected to see the second halving in its history......

No that is not going to happen the only thing that can happen is that the value of Bitcoin wont rise and that would be bad for the most people with Bitcoin already.
But not everyone will know what they will do in the future and that is the bad thing of Bitcoin.

Well, it can't happen because of many reasons. Also people cann't believe on it. halving is definitely coming, because of bitcoin.
Only one thing that can be canceled of halving and that is bitcoin ending. So when ever bitcoin will remain so it is impossible that halving will be canceled. Also that it is all set up, no one can change it, it is automatically running, so don't believe in rumors.
