1) Transaction times are slower than credit / debit.

2) The safety of it. there's a lot of scam here.

Otherwise, pretty happy with it

that people scam each other is not the fault of bitcoin. exactly the same happens with fiat currencies. it's up to the people to use common sense when doing business here on this forum or outside this forum. when things look too good to be true, then it mostly is a scam. that's why using a trusted forum escrow helps decreasing the risks significantly.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

I'm really bullish about the future involving bitcoin but if I had to say the worst thing is when some asshole dumps thousands of coins & it crashes the price. So I guess volatility is the thing I hate most although there are always positives to every negative. Cheap coins etc.

That's true but many people are taking advantage of price volatility as they are involved into trading which allows them to make quick money, if price crashes no need to panic and buy as much bitcoins as possible and wait for the future for price hike.

Nowadays I think transaction times are really bothering. The fact is not fully anonymous is also an issue for me, since it breaks some of bitcoins very reasons to exist in the first place.

The transaction time is unpredictable even if you pay enough transaction fees. I think the block size has to be increased.

the only thing that was always bothering me a little about bitcoin is the confirmation time. although the bitcoin reaches its destination almost immediately but in order to get 1 confirmation and be safe from scam i always have to wait approximately 10 minutes.

Hmm tx times are not a real problem, as long as you pay a correct fee it's rather fast. It doesn't take more than an hour to get your first confs which is enough for a lot of merchants and website. For anonymous part... Well it is, the only rhings not anonymous are plateformes exchanges but you don't have to use them if you don't want.

The bad reputation of Bitcoin, Many people don't use Bitcoin because of the bad reputation bitcoin has got in these few years.
That's why only a few websites accept bitcoins.

Indeed, big corporate companies don't want anything to with bitcoin because of this. They are trying to stay away from anything that's coming out negative in the news. I'm hoping for this to change sometime soon so that they can all see what kind of potential bitcoin has.

For me i think the things that i favorite in bitcoins are to withdraw it instantly in our country. also i love to send bitcoins because its fast and no fee's unless you are using blockchain or electrum but the fee's are low than in paypal.. also you can collect bitcoin easily than usd that you need a minimum withdrawal for PTC done instant withdraw in any faucet directly in faucetbox its easy to reach the minimum because many legit faucet is in faucet box list. Unlike PTC some of them are scams...

Anywhere???
By saying that, do you mean that it's not accepted at your local places or do you mean to say that it ain't accepted anywhere globally???
There are many giants like Dell, Overstock, etc. accepting Bitcoins as their secondary way of accepting payments...

My least favorite thing about bitcoin is that it is not popular in my country, and majority of the people are not aware about it, I hope that things changes soon in near future.

I agree, Bitcoin is accepted in many places already and even if it's not fully accepted in other places there still ways to pay with it. Check out the article in Forbes "How To Use Bitcoin To Shop At Amazon, Home Depot, CVS And More".

I have the same issue as well and I do agree that it is not popular in many countries still and my country people also dont know much about bitcoin. This is the only thing which in my opinion is least favorite about bitcoin.

You're right it's a bit of a problem too. I always get the strange looks whenever I talk about it. People say I'm crazy for putting some of my money in something like btc cause they have no idea of what it really is.

Tell me all about it

My least favorite thing doesn't have an easy solution.

It's the payment addresses.

The payment addresses are not user friendly and that creates issues like the clipboard malware currently going around where users copy and paste an address and the malware changes the address but the user doesn't see it has been changed because the addresses are meaningless strings to our brains.

I've been wondering if there might be a solution with DNS secured by DNSSEC similar to how meaningless IP addresses are converted to domain names.

e.g. you sent a payment to whatever.mydomain.net and the client does a DNS lookup to get the actual payment address. The DNS server could even potentially return a unique payment address for every query.

That could only work with something like DNSSEC to validate the response is legal and a client that validates the response, and it has a lot of problems of its own, but right now the payment addresses just are not user friendly which is exploitable.

I hereby reserve the right to sometimes be wrong

The worst thing about people are the FUDsters that criticize it for fake reasons. The blockstream hate for example, it's pretty frustrating since they are the guys contributing the most to scale it worldwide, but I will not give up and in the end it will be demonstrated that Bitcoin was able to scale and do all the cool things we dream about now.

It's the same for me.
In our country we don't have much Bitcoin users and only a few merchants accept bitcoin for payment.
When I try to explain about bitcoin to my friends and relatives, they are very skeptic.
They don't think bitcoin will last long.

Yeah they would regret in future for sure, as they are missing a great opportunity to be rich in future, its our duty to introduce them to bitcoins, either they accept or reject its their own decision, can't help.

I think the price fluctuation makes it a bit less favorite in the new investors who wants to invest their money into bitcoins, as they have a fear of loosing their money looking at the price volatility.
