The risk of losing everything in whatever currency you have stuff stored in might always be there, but there is definitely not enough risk to worry about it all the time. A majority of currencies have very minimal risk right now, and something that would be catastrophic to the world economy (like 2008) would more than likely have warning signs if you're paying attention. I recommend watching the movie "The Big Short", which talks about the 2008 financial crisis from an investor's point of view, and a group who saw the signs early.

hardware wallets are just an optional tool. you don't need them in order to securely store your coins for the long term. all it does is adding extra costs while storing your wallet files in usb drives and/or printing out your private keys is free. with free i mean free in the way that people already have a printer and usb drives at home. that's how i store my coins.

you actually need them because the bitcoins might be stolen from your computer if you have some viruses in it, i think banks will have no future

need what? hardware wallets? if that's what you mean, then no. as i said before, it's just an optional thing. if i take myself as an example, my wallet files are all secured with a lengthy passphrase. even if my pc gets infected with a virus, and the hacker got my wallet file, then still nothing will happen. it's practically impossible to brute force it within a reasonable time frame (if ever).

Banks can be robbed by your money is insured so you do not worry anymore of your deposits, however in bitcoin when you put your money in exchange sites, there is a big possibility that your account will be hacked or the exchange sites itself and there is no guarantee that you can still recover your money.

yeah' because if you hold your bitcoins in online wallet you always attempt to gambling it because you want to double your money / bitcoins but if you are going to exchange it as a fiat then you are going to need it someday saving in banks are the best because you always see your money you work for everyday and hold it until one day you gonna need it for future purposes

I must say that investment in bitcoin is really worth it. Your money does not grow as much fast as the bitcoins grows if you keep them in the wallet as the price of bitcoins increases more fast than the Fiat.

If you look at one angle, it could be the same but if you think outside the box, the money that we are putting in the bank although it will generate some interest income on our part but the reality is the value still does not increase due to inflation while in bitcoin there is not big inflation so that is the big difference.

I think we need both nowadays, bank for some deals online and offline that couldn't be made with bitcoin
and wallet for speed and low fee transactions

Im use both of them too, for bussines people still need bank although he is have biggest bitcoin changer, If no people never need bank, each changer never give option to withdraw his bitcoin with wire bank

Actually, if I am only saving without investing, then I lose in 2 ways. First, you indeed lose in the way that fiat is getting worth less and less, and secondly, the poor below 1% interest that we get here doesn't make up for the 1.5% tax we have to pay over it. It means losses on top of other losses. That's why I am very thankful to have the possibility to make good profits with Bitcoin. Otherwise I would have been forced to look into stocks and such.
