I prefer a bank rather than bitcoin because in my opinion, the bank is better and safer to keep money than bitcoin. Besides, the bank is a financial institution official, so it is really very safe
Yeah bank is always safe and secure in compare to bitcoin wallet, as banks holds responsibility of your savings and in case if anything goes wrong with your money then banks will stand in your support to recover them. |

If you are in a first world country that is correct but for people living in a third world country is possible to live without access to banks, besides it’s not like they are avoiding banks, they just don’t have access to it
Same goes in bitcoin when we bring this currency in the third world country. Access will really goes in a hard way. That's why this is the point, banks today can't even reached all people today so how much worst if it's on bitcoin? |

I would like to keep bitcoin as it is with wallets, because banks are just a poster sign for centralization and I like the bitcoin of now with no central authority and no control of the network.. Banks are nice because they offer interest but bad for the network overall.

Well, we have our own choice, if we can use both why not use it. They have their own benefits from its clients and bitcoin for me is more on investment rather than a storage of my money, if I intend to save I would certainly choose bank.
Right. Why not use both. It's not like we can only choose one. Put 30 % on banks, then 40% on cold wallets, the rest is for active investments like casino bankrolls,trading,altcoins,etc. I'm not really comfortable with putting ALL liquid assets into crypto-currencies as the value could be pretty volatile. It's good if it's way up but there are also hard plunges. That's why diversifying is my best bet. Sure the fiat in the bank will lose value over time but that could take decades. |

though banks can go bankrupt and steal all your money while with bitcoins your money are safe Banks can go bankrupt but they cannot steal our money because it is protected by the law of the state, our deposits has its insurance so there is nothing to worry about the security of our money saved in the banks. |

I think we need both at the moment as we will always have fiat and digital currencies working side by side as long as we have governments etc. Only if we change towards a resource based economy we might not be needing banks as we know them today. We are NOT that civilized yet lol.

Yeah we know that already as of many replies are mentioned at the top but you're had point there that bitcoin is much more safer than bitcoin wallet banks has many features that can help you specially the offers and the credits cards your using to shop online. And with bitcoins the whole responsibility is just in your hands. If you mistype something in the transaction your money is most likely gone due to the anonimity of the wallet owner. Not everybody can handle that responsibility. It's different with banks. When you send the money to the wrong person he has to give it back. And because the bank exactly knows who the owner of the account is, he can not escape that obligation. |

If you do investing and saving at the same time, I think you do not need to choose between the two because the two have their best unique purpose, we are using banks to protect our money while bitcoin to cater our investment, that is the simple explanation there. |
