Achievements and Plans in preventing ad-fraud 
On behalf of our team we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. In the end of the year we would like to sum up the results of our work during this year and to share our future plans regarding one of the most topical issues for advertisers - the ad fraud.
If you have ever had a chance to work in the field of online advertising, you must be aware of how broad this problem is.
Just a few days ago, an important news came to light among the online-community:

From this article we can see that the volume of online fraud is tremendous. And this is just a small part of it. In accordance with different forecasts, the industry of online advertising will pay from 7 to 10 bln USD for fake views and clicks.
BitMedia team has been in the industry for a long time and we know it inside out by now.
Our fundamental mission is to establish a transparent and open platform that would be intolerant to any kind of fraud.At this moment we are actively involved into the elaboration of our own anti-fraud machinery, detection of miscellaneous fraud-patterns and inventing the ways of handling these issues. On the day of Methbot article publication (2 days ago) we released a patch for our ad engine and now we have successfully blocked the impressions from this network.
By this time we detach thousands of invalid clicks and block dozens of websites, containing fraud every day. The performance of these procedure allows us to provide the refunds to the advertisers, and saving their budgets.
However,
our overriding goal is to establish a decentralized platform. A platform that would be simple, clear and transparent. A platform, where every participant, whether advertiser or publisher, will be able to select a provider of services(not only BitMedia), a company to entrust to check its traffic and get independent reports from several different services at the same time. A platform, that, by means of smart contracts, which are already being elaborated, will enable its users to enjoy the transparent and fair payments for real views and clicks.
