As an aside, my two sticks were nearly dead this morning when I woke up, generating 1 Gh on one stick and nothing on the other.
I unplugged and replugged them, rebooted minera, and they came back to life. Very strange though because they had been running without a hiccup for weeks.

Been messing around with my sticks... so they are off and on.  Still have issues running different pools from different sticks, I'm using cgminer-gekko and Pi.  The --usb :1 command seems to work as long as there is one instance running but multiple ones read duplicate #'s if labeled --usb :2 and so on.
Has anyone looked into their /etc/rc.local file?  I found Minerd in there mining cpu hashes for someones ghash.io acct.  (worth checking) or is this just an example?

--usb :# is for the # of sticks you want to run on each instance of cgminer. So usb :2 would do 2 sticks.

Also found it helps to put a sleep in before the next instance starts in the /etc/rc.local

sudo ./cgminer -o pool -u
sleep 10s        (just tells it to wait 10 seconds, before starting 2nd cgminer and most times 6 seconds will do, but whats an extra 4 seconds?)
sudo ./cgminer -o pool -u

When I added those lines in the /etc folder it did not auto start for me.

With the Pi being Linux (unless your using some thing else for the Pi) you have to do the sudo cp 01-cgminer.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/ from within the cgminer-gekko dir.

Also need to sudo usermod -G plugdev -a "what ever user name you used" (it's probably already done, but just to make sure and without "").

My /etc/rc.local looks like this.

Thanks.  Tricky and lots of learning to do.  One last question for now.. I ssh'd into the pi just to get it running.  When you do that it doesn't display cgminer-gekko on the pi screen, is it possible to get the screen working when doing so?

That is done with https://www.gnu.org/software/screen/

That's the "screen -dmS cgminer" part in my /etc/rc.local example.

Once screen is installed, when you ssh in, it's "sudo screen -x cgminer" (the way I have it set up, still learning) and it will (should) show the regular cgminer window (if your only doing 1 cgminer). If your doing 2 or more cgminer's, it will list however many cgminer's  your running with "number.cgminer" (example 2364.cgminer 2410.cgminer), then you just change the "sudo screen -x cgminer" to sudo screen -r 2364.cgminer and it brings up that cgminer window, then open a second ssh and do "sudo screen -r 2410.cgminer" to bring up that cgminer window.

I've been a little to busy with some other stuff and haven't had time to read up on screen, so there's probably a better way to do the above. I think there's a way to set the F1-F12 keys to bring up and switch between the windows, but still learning myself.

My two sticks run side by side at 225 Mhz with a temperature reading of 122F according to Minera (and who knows what that's measuring), and less than 100F at the base of the usb connector or anywhere else when measured with my cheap laser/ir gun (which I believe to be quite accurate).  I just mention because heat is not my problem at all.

They dont have a temp sensor so i'm guessing the Minera reading you're taking is from the RasPi's its running on? Unless you're somehow running it on some other device.

they agreed to let Landry1264 start now since he has in stock sticks.

when Guruclef sticks show up he will start and Landry1264 will become 1st alternate.

since shares earned are not lost for part B money if we do hit a block after they switch
both would get part b money but only the active stick gets the part a share.

this closes us for now. as we have 30 active sticks

you also get shares tallied  and a piece of Part B prize money     this is to encourage people adding extra mining gear like an s-3 or an s-5 or an s-7

Part A prize favors a guy with 1 or 2 sticks

Part B prize favors a guy with a stick and an s-5 or a stick and rented hash.

This is the only pool that a guy with 1 or 2 sticks can do very well in.

If we allow an unlimited amount of members  we can no longer do this.

But on Nov 11th   we will do  a new cycle if coins say high and demand is there we can make the limit 40 rather then 30.  since 1/40 of 12 coins = .3 btc and at  current price of btc it is over 105 usd.

Which is far better then the price of one or 2 or 3 sticks.
