In essence this thread has continued on at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153618.0 ... and it has brand new shiny objects [Edit] My goods are now available trough www.btctrinkets.comHello Im a miner who has for quite some time wanted to do more with bitcoins than mereley mine, speculate and consume. I recentley found myself in need of a nice tiepin and one thing led to another. The result being that Im starting a small buisness Im calling btc-trinkets. My prices are subject to change as the exchange rate fluctuates, the goods atm are: [edit] Im constantly behind on updating prices, I have dynamic pricing tied to the euro on in my bitmit auctions, feel free to refer them for the current prices.Trinkets on bitmitTux & Bitcoin pvc keychain. Backside has the text Open source software. Open source money. Be warned that the backside will eventually wear off, it's just painted on. Mine is fading after two weeks of being in my pocket always, on an average day I walk ~3 miles so could be Im putting it to more wear than average. The frontside is still in pristine condition. In stockPrice including delivery: 0.4BTC
Money clip. Brass, the diameter of the coin is 25.75mm so it's larger than the ones on the cufflinks, tiepins and lapel pins. In stockPrice Including delivery: 0.92BTCBitcoin tiepin. In stockPrice including delivery: 0.77BTCThis item now comes in a plastic box, with no added cost, this is to ensure that it arrives intact. If the box is broken but the item is not then it has served it's purpose asfar as I am concerned. By this I mean that I won't be shipping out replacement boxes, if yours makes it then good, you have a box for storage. Bitcoin cufflinks. In stockPrice per pair including delivery: 0.95BTCThis item now comes in a plastic box, with no added cost, this is to ensure that it arrives intact. If the box is broken but the item is not then it has served it's purpose asfar as I am concerned. By this I mean that I won't be shipping out replacement boxes, if yours makes it then good, you have a box for storage. Bitcoin lapel pin. In stockPrice including delivery: 0.40BTC
One of each of the items listed above as a bundle. In stock.Price including delivery: 3.25BTC
All the metal items are made of brass with "gold plating". They include absoluteley no preaceous metals (or someone has made a horrible mistake at the production end). The bitcoin logo in each item is the same size, 2cm in diameter, excluding the money clip which is larger. The point of this image is to prove that I have the claimed goods, atleast some active members on the mining forum will recognize the uglyest rig ever (hashmaster 2000) that I am the proud creator and owner of. Delivery times are (quoted from the finnish postal service's website): Europe: 8 - 16 days. Rest of the world major cities: 12+ days and rural areas not guaranteed, but Im willing to guesstimate 30 days at most. I'll update the delivery times as they are reported by customers. Preferred sales channels are now www.btctrinkets.com and bitmitTo order e-mail btctrinkets@gmail.com Payment methods accepted: bitcoin (doh), mtgox btc code, more possibly later suggest and ask, however I dont really see any reason to accept payment forms other than bitcoins, for reasons that are propably obvious to you also Otc-rating http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=Isokivi&sign=ANY&type=RECVEscrow available via bitmitWebsite: www.btctrinkets.com (redirects to this thread for now, It'll propably take me the rest of the year or so to get an actual e-commerse up and running [edit] set the target for having a webstore to be after/once I have ten different items available , the noteworthy bit is that the domain is registered with my actual and easily verifyable info so I guess thats one less thing to make me look "scammy")My auctions on bitmit

Most of the items have a silvery finish but the cufflinks look "orange". Are they brass or a brass like material or is that just a camera effect? Also you should put them on bitmit.net. Much easier to order and free advertising. Lastly (and this may require more sales) do you have the ability to make the bitcoin cufflinks out of sterling silver? I am going on a cruise soon and that would be nice for formal nights.

The metal is brasslike, all of them are yellow, not silvery.. the items are challenging for my crappy potography skills and different lighting settings, please bare with me [edit] I mailed an inqury about the exact metal and finish used in the products, dunno if I'll get a response before monday, but more detailed information on that will be added as soon as I have it.

I just found out that bitmit is not to be selled and will be using it, items going up as we speak. I do know a jewler from Switzerland but I'd guesstimate getting something like that made would get fairly expensive, I will however drop her a line and get a rough feel for the price.

They had a worker with a filling fall in the smelter a few years ago, and they are still claiming some gold content? Thanks for the info, that's pretty much what I expected based on the price.

A bitcoin emblem of some sort hanging from my car's rearview mirror would be neat, too. It would probably have to be metal like your other trinkets, but a fluffy one would sure look sweet. Bumper stickers, perhaps? This is probably outside your manufacturer's scope, though.

Bumper stickers, perhaps? This is probably outside your manufacturer's scope, though. Nice ideas both, atm I do not have a supplier for either, but I'll put them on my list. Personally I've for long wanted a sticker "This sticker adds 5Mh/s" to slap on my rigs. I'd love nothing more than this enterprize getting off and subsidizing or entireley replacing my day job. But in the end that and how many more items I can and will add is all up yo you my dear customers.

Short update on random things: Bitmit identity verification in process, should be done fairly soon.I gave up (atleast for now) on setting up an OTC rating.. talk about unnecessarily complicated processes. Website registered www.btctrinkets.com nothing there yet, just redirecting here. I am particapating in bitcoin friday, stay tuned for discount announcements. Items will be available on discount both here (msg or e-mail orders) and trough bitmit. My first outgoing shipment to my favorite pool op got delivered fairly mangled and I have since then refined my packing and am also looking in to purchasing casings of some sort for the items.. those will however push up my material and shipping costs, not by a lot, but I will most likeley need to check my pricing once/if I end up going that way. Should you recieve your order somehow broken please get in touch with me, I want nothing more than to set things right and get some positive feedback.Im looking in to adding some more items in to my inventory, should some artisticly capable indifidual be out there interested in work and/or have unused designs please do get in touch with me. I propably wont be able to offer much in the way of payments, either a % of the items sale revenue for the first month or two.. or a straight up btc compensation in the single digits + the produced item(s) free of charge. For example atm Im lacking a bumper sticker design.

Money clips are under production, the design is similiar to my the first batch of items, but with a larger bitcoin-logo. I will toss you a discount for suggesting the item. But pricing is open untill I have a batch ready. If I'd have to guess that would be in about a week.

Would you do a custom production of an item in a different metal? for instance if I want a gold money clip with a platinum B on it?
This may be interesting. Im afraid preaceous metals are atleast for now off the table for me, for one I'd need to change the manufacturer, secondly I have next to no means of verifying the materials. I need to be 100% sure myself that the product I am selling is what I claim.. I looked quite far in to silver and/or sterling silver ones and the production costs with anticipated lower volumes and the cost on verifying the material climbed quite rediculously high and after adding insured shipping things looked a bit worse. Also I believe the local legislation here would require some training an/or a permit on my part and I am doing this legit. Im not saying never, but Im fairly sure Im very far away from having such products available. But as there would clearly seem to be a demand for them I will keep at it and hopefully eventually have solutions. [edit] I just sent out a tentative e-mail to the only jewler I know in person, hopefully she can give me some tips and insight on how to approach this.

The shipment that went out to germany was a raffle prize and I believe the recipient didnt mail me as I asked upon recieving the product, so I dont have an actual quote. But I would be supprised if it was not in the same ballpark as rest of continental Europe. So Im guessing about a week.

The money Chip is very interresting. When will it Bereich variable for purchase?
Im expecting to have them in hand this year, but as customs and mail services are overloaded due to christmas it may be january. It was intended earlyer, but an another item in the same shipment (a keychain) required severeal redesigns and was pushed back.

Noted, I will hold one for you. It's somewhat a good idea because I as a person who does not use cash had little faith in this product ended up making the first batch fairly small ( 30 pieces).

Bitmit has been down for atleast three days and it's starting to show at my end, roughly 2/3 of sales I do go trough bitmit with escrow. Where should I take my buisness should the situation continue ? A fully automated webstore is in my to do pile, but I've set the pre-requisite for that to have ten different items on sale and in stock. Any toughts ?

Thank you, looks small.. but Im giving it a go right away. [edit] My goods are now up on coinpost.com and I suspect I will be using it alongside bitmit for the forseeable future. I feel much better about posting them up there now that I found tosaki's message about bitmit having technical difficulties, as a miner my first tought was a ddos and I was concerned about using a service that could have the interest to orcestrate one Glad my gut feeling was outright wrong.

Current Promotion: As a measure to build up my otc-rating I am offering a 10% btc-back upon recieved otc-rating on all direct orders recieved while the offer is on the table, the offer is good for now and it's ending will be posted in the second post in this thread. The reason I am doing this is that I feel that my otc-rating may play a larger role in the near future, should bitmit close.

Im afraid this is not intended for past orders.. it's somewhat a measure I feel like Im forced to do because of the uncertanity around bitmit, which makes up ~70% of my sales. http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=Isokivi

Prices redone due to the exchange rate moving up, but while I was doing "the math" I came to realize that I had met my return of investment on the design and mold costs of my three first items. Because of this the price drops there are larger.
[edit] outdated info.
Current prices stand at: Keychain 1.08BTC Money clip 2.45BTC Cufflinks 2.26BTC Tie pin 1.91BTC Lapel pin 1.03BTC
[edit] the up to date prices can always be seen in the first post of this thread.

you could use this :-D I am perfectly aware of such tools, the thing just is I do not want to. I've got it stuck in my head that I will eventually want to pay all parts of this enterprise with bitcoins, including taxes. Im sure the local tax authority is at the very leas several years away from this, but I would be greatly dissapointed if by the end of this year I dont have manufacturers accepting bitcoin payments. Designers working for bitcoin have been available since the beginning. I just simply want to move to a point where euros or dollars are nolonger in any way involved and thus consider manually setting the prices a ongoing temporary inconvenience.

Hey just figured I'd drop by. I am the one who designed the bitcoin penguin keychain and Isokivi was super awesome to work with. He also sent me two of the keychains in the mail. I do have to say I think they turned out really great. I was impressed with the amount of detail that was kept on the coins. I took a picture of one of mine. Here it is:
