Have you guys ever used bitcoins like a payment method?
How hard it is to explain to someone what's bitcoin?
In your country there are many stores where you can use the bitcoins?
Do your friends related to bitcoin? Do they know what exactly is a bitcoin?

Yes I have tried using bitcoins online to pay for advertising, to pay for electric bills and to purchase perfumes on Facebook. My relatives know bitcoin since they invested in Mmm crowdfunding investment. But they don't have a clear understanding how bitcoin or a wallet works they just depend in somebody who knows. They are just focus on income.
"Your bitcoin is secured in a way that is physically impossible for others to access, no matter for what reason, no matter how good the excuse, no matter a majority of miners, no matter what." -- Greg Maxwell

Well I have used bitcoin to buy some books in amazon via gift card. It gone well though I didn't directly use bitcoin in amazon. Well you can use your bitcoin in daily life if you just convert it to fiat man.  Grin
You are right. few stores only accepting bitcoin online as payment so its better to convert in fiat and thats it you can do anything you want. thats what im doing if i need money. earning thru bitcoin and convert it to fiat.

We all hope that lots of store will accept bitcoin directly especially in local store around our neighborhood.  It would be more exciting to introduce and share bitcoin if the moment we step out of the our residents a lot of store accepting bitcoin is around.  And it will be easier to make people believe it  since people would like to see how to transact with bitcoin.

I use bitcoin to shop online in Amazon, it will be more convenient of more local stores accept bitcoin as payment method, if so bitcoin plays vital role in our daily life.

Serious issue when it comes to awareness of crypto currencies in many developing countries. Though I keep telling my friends about bitcoins and the whole industries (I’m not an expert but I share knowledge what I get from internet and mostly from bitcointalk members).

While talking about bitcoin, I use the examples of online wallets of local currency (example – Freecharge, Paytm in India) and tell them this is same but it has difference. Responses I get are mostly focused on issues like security, return on investments, taxation, accessibility etc. Eventually most of them understand what it is all about but they are still conservative when it comes to investments.

I’m sure they will pop in soon in the future with the overall growth of the industry. I can see effective option to make people aware is growth of the industry.

Yeah but i think it's very close to happen because this year will be a good year for bitcoin because the price is expected to reach $1k and it could possibly attract more people to use bitcoin and some of the stores will surely use bitcoin as another kind of payment method Smiley.

The bitcoin using in daily life would be awesome but not possible, I think that its just not gonna happen.
The bitcoin first needs to get a lot bigger and than its for me locally possible in my eyes.
Heh.... do you know some people in here using bitcoin for daily stuff, maybe they don't want to publish it but i sure some people using bitcoin for their daily life. but it's very complicated if you wanna to using your bitocin in daily stuff you always need to exchange that before.
They really do,because it is just so easy to convert it to fiat,or pay with it somewhere.
I have a friend who is buying food everyday for bitcoin in restauraunt's,i have meet him many times at the city while eating btc burger haha
Yeah some restaurant has accept bitcoin and before i've many times use in coffee shop because that the only place i can spend bitcoin to not use fiat.
In other threads, I have seen people actually buying burgers from their local restaurants everyday with bitcoins accepted as payment so yes, bitcoin for daily life may not be possible before but now it is possible but not for all people around the globe just yet.

maybe because other people didn't know about bitcoin and other companies doesn't know it because maybe they are too busy in their business and bitcoins is not much popular in the television that's why bitcoin is just popular for the people who uses internet.

Yes I use bitcoins many times in my daily life . I earn from bitcoins and some times I use them for mobile recharges which is used in our daily life and also I convert them In fiat for my other uses. Also start some services and pay in bitcoins there as well.
My daily expense is taken care only by btc. I exchange the btc to my currency and use them for my daily expense. It is really very supportive. As it is a currency, almost everything is bought by it.

I use Bitcoins in everyday life, I pay for goods in store, I buy online, I even pay my bills with it. I have Bitcoin debit card and that makes spending Bitcoin much easier. Explain to someone what is Bitcoin isn't that hard if that person has some basic knowlege about internet and virtual world and shows some interest. But the best way to see all advantages of Bitcoion is when you try it by yourself.

Amazon is now accepting bitcoin as payment? This is news to me. Well for me i mostly use my bitcoins for buying games and gifts on Steam and other cheap game trade websites like g2a.com; the summer sales really makes it quite nice to exchange bitcoins for software that will be always there and sold later on.

Well in terms of security, I think you are going to lose that argument with your friends, especially if they have heard anything that has been going on with bitcoin lately and can compare that to visa and other payment forms... Debit/credit cards now have chips that are more secure, compared to bitcoin which has the problem of overcoming the block size bloat and miner frustrations due to halving and costs of running a mining company.

If I were you I would focus on the fact that there is no governmental agency trying to tax what you are paying, so you can pay someone over the internet tax free.... this is a huge deal when considering large purchases online.

ROI is kinda mehhh... I mean, if you make that case, it sounds like you are apart of some kind of internet ponzi scheme.
