They lack confidence in bitcoins, I guess? It's like if you were to choose from something you have been too familiar with for a long time and something that is new to you. I also think awareness is not enough because if they don't full understand what bitcoin and the potential of bitcoin with it's advantages, they really won't be interested in using it.

Lol

Our dad and moms will think it is currency for the underworld

Well it is a new generation now. You are the start for a new mindset and if you have sons and daughters you can pass it to them. Unlike my old style parents too. They wont really understand.

Bitcoin is at on side and paypal is at another place ,with merchants till that moment we wont see bitcoin reaching any new level,or mass adoption.Bitcoin being volatil is bringing large investors into it the same way gold and silver drops and ups,but in these case, but they have support from countries bitcoin is very small community compared with the countries.

I do not consider as a problem when my father found too difficult the core concept and advantages of bitcoin. He just kept on asking questions about the need of such a currency. But I believe my children will understand more quick than me as they will have more technical exposure.

Another problem is that Bitcoin is not like other payment processors, where you will need just your email to receive payments, but with bitcoin, you will have to make use of some codes, which is, if you make a single mistake, you send it to the wrong address, but with sites like Xapo, you will have to make use of emails like you will do with PayPal and the rest of them.

You need to be more careful to avoid any such kind of problems. Copy and paste is always emphasized to avoid any stupid mistakes associated with bitcoin addresses. Luckily many sites has implemented the check sum verification to find the valid address before starting the payment process.

to someone new, they may make this mistake and get the impression that it is not safe. could be a slight problem. then again bank numbers often not tied to email and require Long codes

I think people are holding off on using bitcoin because it's not mainstream. Most popular people use or buy is when it's new and hot and everyone is using it. Look at cell phones, once more people started using it a lot of people adapted to that as well. I think that's what bitcoin needs. It's slowly going into the world, some people know about it but because you can't pay with it everywhere they don't want to waste their time on it.

I think it includes the risk of the use of the wallet, you have to be smarter in using, and you can also use xapo for your wallet

Yes Xapo simply uses email for sending or receiving payments similar to some online payment processors. Xapo's this way of payment processing would help some people feel comfort on regular payment routines to avoid any error on selecting payee payment address.

I think some are just scared because it's not mainstream, if they run into issues, they can't just make a report and say that their paper wallet has been stolen.
I'm hoping for this to change and that more people will adapt to bitcoin next year.

The internet itself was distrusted for several years before its use took off and exploded to where 80% of the world is connected to the net. Bitcoin will take off in a similar matter

With the internet, email made the common everyday man begin to understand it's potential. Because email virtually promoted itself... In all the schools, and offices world wide people were talking about this free method of communication and before too long the whole world wanted in.

I agree with this that the internet started int he same way and I also think that bitcoin will grow like this.  I do not think it will get as huge as the internet, but I would guess it will soon be as popular as Facebook and such.

People cannot be bothered with using bitcoin, lets look at one aspect, wallets, using bitcoin core is probably the safest but it takes up a tonne of space on your hard drive, and then there are online wallets like blockchain.info which just cannot be trusted, its too much work for someone who isnt heavily invested, also price fluctuates alot

I almost stop using bitcoins when the price was not looking good that is one of the reason. People don't use bitcoin, because they are old. Some of them don't use it, because they are not sure if it is stable. I tell to them is not going to be stable any sooner is good that is so that when you buy low price of bitcoin you can earn a lot later. The another thing that people is stopping of using it is that they just have to much experience with fiat money and they don't want something new.

blockchain.info is not just online wallet, you have the private key, blockchain.info does not. But wallets are as secure as is your computer, which is not much because of security holes in operating systems, mostly Windows.

The future is in hardware wallets, cheap and secure solution, but not there yet especially the price of today hardware wallets is not cheap.

Just because the price was probably not as high as you were hoping isn't a reason not to use Bitcoin. And what is 'using' Bitcoin for you? Using it as currency? Using it as an investment?

if the features of the bitcoin begin to disappear as fast transactions and there are no administrative costs,
now to get 1 transaction confirmation takes quite a long time. if you want to quick you have to pay more for administrative costs. I think it would make people stopping from using bitcoin?

Sorry but you must decide if bitcoin will be worthless and the people will starting to leave it, or bitcoin will be the future of money. Cannot happen both of those as you predict in your post. And you cannot be "pretty sure" that something will not happen when you firstly (before) accept that this something will become true. So, you predict in the first part of your unique precious sentence of your post that bitcoin will become worthless and the people will start to leave it FOR SURE and then immediately are pretty sure that this will not happen because bitcoin will be the future of the money. With which part of yourself do you are? With the first half of yourself who write the first part of your sentence or with the second half of yourself (which, as I can see, is in an open war with the first one) who write the total opposite of the first one?
