There's still a lot of people that don't understand about bitcoin.

Maybe if we spread the news about bitcoins, it will attracts more people. After that, more people will use bitcoin.

People say the same thing for more than 2 years. Some people say Bitcoin doesn't have a killer app. I think Bitcoin is already a killer app itself. If you want to send money worldwide you should pick only Bitcoin. Technology should focus on worldwide payments. Western Union and Paypal has a great market cap. Bitcoin should get their cut from it.

I think a lot of people who stop using bitcoin because the price is not stable, you're also announcing that the price of bitcoin is always up and down, maybe young investors invest the money they have when the price of bitcoin is high, and when the price dropped them in shock and stop using bitcoin

They aren't using Bitcoin because 90% of the people in the world are stupid. Everything needs to be dumbed down for them to understand it and no one has figured out how to dumb down Bitcoin enough yet. As soon Bitcoin products are released that are as simple to use as a debit card Bitcoin can spread.

This guy needs to be able to use it first.

First, not many people have heard of bitcoins in general. You would be surprised the number of individuals who have no idea what a crypto-currency is. Second, the idea of what is bitcoin is misconstructed in a negative way. People are starting to think and associate bitcoins as "evil" or criminal when in actuality, bitcoins are a efficient way to transfer money to anyone extremely quickly. Third, people might think bitcoins are too technical or for people who are extremely technologically savvy when that is not the case. Anyone can start using bitcoins within a few minutes if introduced and they can set up a wallet very simply.  Smiley

possible for people who are new to bitcoin, and try to collect using the faucet may not be an easy thing for them, maybe they thought it would be a very long time to collect bitcoin faucet alone, and leaving bitcoin.

With bitcoin debit cards we can use bitcoins same as fiats at almost every shop now a days. So, there would be any stopper for people using bitcoins if they opt for bitcoin debit cards.

This has probably been mentioned many times, but I think it comes down to the general population in the developed world being pretty ignorant to change. People don't want to do much that requires effort to change their ways. This includes integrating a new currency when it isn't totally necessary right now. A vast amount of society is also unwilling to put in the effort to learn about things that don't include day to day gossip of celebrities, trending tv shows or their own personal lives.

To many people it's: Why learn about healthy eating habits, greener 'environmentally conscious' ways of living, new economic ways of transferring wealth, when it requires effort and it's 'boring' ?

I think an ever increasing merge into mainstream society is how BTC will grow. Right now you actually have to research it to use it, that requires a good amount of effort and a learning curve. Eventually it will just a thing, like fiat currency is to people. You don't have to learn about it, its just there to use.

It's not that bad.  People are afraid of new things.
But if the innovation is good, they will adapt in the end.

But why would ppl use bitcoin debit cards over regular cards? There is no reason for this.'

And using bitcoin debit cards misses the point of bitcoin anyway. So just like with regular cards, with bitcoin debit cards, you are dependant on a company issuing bitcoin debit card to process the transactions. So you are giving control of your spendings to a third party. So why would anyone do it? They already have banks doing the same thing.

People probably run scared because it is an internet thing.  In a way it is understandable because a hacker can steal all your money in a matter of seconds.

I agree with you. Some think it is just an artificial money though that it cannot be used in the real world. But they just have to try it to see what is really going on. Lack of experience can also be a problem to why they cant start.

The problem is also people think it is money for criminals. Therefore they think they should avoid it. Which is quite sad actually.
Let's hope this will change in the near future.

It is changing. It is being used know for different kinds of helping. I forgot what is called of that one group where they collect some donation through bitcoin... Ohhh I think it is called BitCare or BitHelp something like that.

With articles like this one from today
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/innovations/wp/2016/01/19/r-i-p-bitcoin-its-time-to-move-on/

even less people will be potentially interested in using bitcoin.

The writer seems a big hater of Bitcoin and crypto currencies generally, and it's exaggerating a lot, he's writing his bad feelings and wishings towards Bitcoin, but i think this article is a lot far of the Bitcoin's reality nowadays.

Thats not fair. Now only more people are getting into it. The recent drastic fluctuations might have stopped a few number of users.
