What's stopping people from using bitcoin?

My mother, hell my whole family sees bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a gambling operation. They see it as no better than throwing craps on a table in vegas. I think for the most part it's not the instability of bitcoin prices that scare people from using it, but that it's the fear that investing your real money can be sucked away by schemes so quick you don't know what hit you.

Nope dude, bitcoins is worth millions so they saying that bitcoin will collapse makes no sense since there is a huge investment inside it ,that make bitcoin being alive,sure price may return the 250 dollars but well even that worth still make bitcoin being bitcoin,when the most of us are expecting an exponential gain of value over the years.

Some people are just skeptical about Bitcoin and they think of it as magical Internet money and hesitate to try it out. Bitcoin is still not mainstream to warrant a more widespread adoption.

they are still regarded as such because they don't know much. about the ins and outs of bitcoin. so they think like that. therefore need advertising about bitcoin

As my observation why people stop using bitcoin because they're thinking bitcoin is scam. Honestly i experienced to scammed in any investment site and cloudmining site all my money stuck in investment and never withdrawn it.. So that i am planning to stop collecting bitcoin. And i search many times how can i recover my bitcoin but the answer is there's no way to recover all my bitcoins in investment site.. so i stop using bitcoin in few weeks but i thinking may there's another way to earn bitcoin so i found this signature campaign is better in faucet.. so now i am still using bitcoin right now and i learn a lots of things about coin here in our forum..

1. already loss a lot with bitcoin
2. loosing from hacker or getting scam
3. not interest anymore

i disagree with you and i think you already know that bitcoin prices has reached the lowest prices in 2015 but people still use bitcoin and my guess is if people would stopping from using bitcoin because bitcoin will banned for all countries i think this is the main factor

Unstable exchange rate can't be accepted as a issue with Bitcoin. Its the nature of the running technology behind Bitcoin. I believe more people are into Bitcoin due to its unstable price.

Probably is. And many people knows Bitcoin but lack of knowledge. The main reason is they dont believe to the coin and its potential in the future.

No i dont think its is the exchange rate. as you can see the exchange rate is very good.
I think that lack of knowledge of bitcoins to the world and bitcoin not everywhere acceptable can be the two reason.
but things are improving in the favor of bitcoins.

its an online currency of course people don't trust anything online since most security and anti hacking individual gives advises like don't give money/private information online. so when people hear about Bitcoin they simply think i could be a victim of scam because of it. They then don't engage after all they've lived thier life without btc.

Bitcoin and crypto currency are not bad themselves. The can be used for gambling, but same is true for all currencies.
You can do gambling with any currency. So the Bitcoin is not bad in itself. Its the usage that make it good or bad.

I agree to the statement "because lack of motivation" because I've ever stopped using bitcoin because of that.

People are still used to using physical money (fiat) than digital money.

There's still a lot of people that having a hard time using computer,if they cant use a computer, how will they use bitcoin?

With fiat, you could just give the money and boom, transaction done.

I think its still rare in the world stores or merchants that accept bitcoin as a payment option. but its will not make people stop to using bitcoin. will be very easy to solve this, you can immediately convert it to fiat. very easy.

Economy today still depends upon fiat, and mostly, fiat is controlled by banks, and some banks are owned by the government, and government always want control over things around it, so there is only small chance for the bitcoin to bloom and be known by every man in this world... government has no control over bitcoin that is why there is little to no promotion about it in common people...

Bitcoin has nothing to do with govrnment, it is free and it always should be, and it should be used in future how it is being used now but it should just be known by many times more people then now and nothing will stop people using bitcoin when it will come to everyone's eyes.
