What's stopping people from using bitcoin?

Bitcoin is already banned in differen countires but some countries are friendly to bitcoin. But if it will be banned it will not stop people work on it i think.

There is nothing stopping people from using bitcoin, But there are less motives to use it, Generally people don't try a new thing unless there is something to encourage them to start "something more than less fees", I think this is what is stopping bitcoin from going mainstream.

That would be a problem. Giving people a means of reading this or knowing some knowledge regarding bitcoin is a big help but they would need some people to assist them in how to do it.

Yes, we cannot Ban something which is popular in nature among the common people of the world. Bitcoin will remain always even if few countries ban thinking it will End the Bitcoin. but this will never going to happen and eventually they have to allow Bitcoin on the pressure of the people.

You mean to say, there are less availability for bitcoin accepting merchants to spend your bitcoins. Yes, this is the situations in many countries. Due to the lack of bitcoin adoptions by companies many people are not in need of switching over to bitcoin payment system.

Actually lack of adoption is the biggest reason of why many people out there are not aware of bitcoin yet in many countries, as someone said above that some people have no access to internet so they really will not be able to come to know if there is such a thing like bitcoin, and for making those people aware of it there needs to be some places that accepts bitcoin so people after seeing that will take a look at it surely and that could be a reason for them to use bitcoin.

Not all has internet connection to acces bitcoin that's why adoption are not yet growing. Still there are many places that bitcoin can't be reached. That is one of the reason why our financial system will not be dominated by bitcoin.

maybe in the rural areas of Africa where they don't even have clean water, there is no internet but the rest out of the 7 billion has access to internet through different ways from wireless network to mobile 3g/4g fast internet.

I think it is the lack of services that accept bitcoin that is holding it back, and that is because of the volatile price and lack of regulation that makes the services afraid of using bitcoin.

In my opinion scam and ponzi sites and earning sources stopping people from using bitcoin. most of people have negative thoughts about bitcoin because of these scam and fake earning sites. because there are 80% sites are scam. and most people affected from them.. peoples like to earn money but when they be scammed then they loose their hopes and didn't try it again..

Not really mate, following the international statistics there is only 1 Billion or so from 6 Billion of people worldwide are using Internet nowadays, so the fact that Bitcoin couldn't be used without internet could be negative factor for real

It's mostly because there is no regulation within crypto, there is even no way to enforce regulation. The only thing we have to offer to newbies is knowledge about managing their money smartly. Regardless players who play fair within the network will get more famous as time passes, we have to hope that legit players will take over. This is inevitable because there is no reputation to be gained while scamming people from their money.

In my opinion currently people just don't care enough about the fundamentals of their money. They use fiat just because it works and is convenient for them and learning something completely new is way too time consuming for them. They'll all get here however.

Some people are scared to use something they still don't understand fully and Bitcoin requires some technical knowledge to understand how it functions. Plus we are so complacent with the banking system and Paypal that better alternatives like Bitcoin could go unnoticed for a long time.
