People are not using bitcoin due to ignorance or because they are not aware of its existence.There are also people who are afraid to use technology when it comes to money.There still are millions of people who dont use credit card as well
People don't use credit card but they are aware about it, and people don't use bitcoin because they have never heard about it and that's the difference. |

many factors, those who have been cheated in invest with big amount, so frustrating.
there is no good investment sites in bitcoin, because too many scammers.
it is difficult to grow or bored because it is difficult to earn bitcoin.
as if they were normal, bitcoin is the most profitable.
Yeah indeed to that many scammers are scattered everywhere and make an investment hyip site to scam people and thats other whats stopping people because they are afraid to lose money and dont want to stake in it. Same other case with that they are not indulge in crypto world and they dont know much information about bitcoin and they are have doubts to earn by it. yes essence they are a slacker, who do not want to grow and learn about bitcoin. so just choose to stop using bitcoin. |

It is now the governments are stopping their citizens from using bitcoin. Countries like Russia, Venzeulua and I even think some part in China since they are still under communist rule.
I would also think North Korea as they don't like western contact/influence.
Anyway bitcoin is using in Russia and other CIS countires, goverment can't stop people using bitcoin cause they can't know about it. Only you will come and tell them that you are bitcoin user, lol  Bitcoin is being used by at least few users from each country of the world. No government can stop it's users from the using of bitcoin. Only when government gets some loss due to bitcoin, further restrictions becomes effective. No restrictions against Bitcoin by governments have ever been successful. If you look at the amount of times that Russia has threatened with even jail time for people involved in Bitcoin, and compare it to the growth in LocalBitcoins Rubble to BTC volume, you will see that the volume has only gone up. |

Bitcoins are not easy to get. I think that is one main reason why people don't use it.
There are a lot of exchange services out there, yes. But you have to sign up, and then they want some of your personal details.
Then you have to make validations, show your passport or whatever.
To an average person this is just too much effort in order to make a payment because he already has a paypal account or a credit card.

What I don’t understand about this issue is- how does the country’s government find out that the citizens are making use of bitcoin? So I don’t think that possible, nobody is stopping bitcoin, bitcoin will continue to progress, no matter what. |

People tend to fear the unknown, because the aren't informed about bitcoin, they fear that it's a scam or smth. Without proper knowledge about bitcoin, you'll never understand its advantages over fiat money. And because the majority of people are too lazy to study bitcoin, then they just ignore it.
Yup the majority of the people dont know this but in this topic, i think the bitcoin user is the topic, Why they should stopping people from using bitcoin? I think if the persons addicted in the betting and always lose he should stopped that bitcoin, because he never win, he should stopped this. |

Bitcoin is misused in many shady trading, like gambling, drugs, porn, laundry etc. The main media will always report the negative aspects and ruin the image of bitcoin. Bitcoin's use cases are far more than that, for the benefit of our daily life. |

luck of info and negative feedback coming from anti social media I think if people realized the real value and use of bitcoin they will embrace it for a change knowing that the value is just the same with there currency, bitcoin is all over the web now and soon to be all over the world as many people already knew it, it will be easy just needed some exposure.

Criminals use fiat too, in fact fiat is used more by the criminals, but still we use fiat because its our necessity, this kind of discrimination is not good for the future of bitcoin. |

Maybe the price fall? Because I've seen alot of people(including me) who bought BTC with curiosity, but they were so scared when the price was dropping.
No one's bothered when the price rises, but if it falls, that's when people piss in their pants. Maybe that could be one of the reason?

I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin?
And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it.
The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy?
I think that lots of people don't know about bitcoin as the new currency and its new innovation, first I think that people are afraid to buy or invest in bitcoin because of its price, the price is unstable which is a risk for someone to invest, also it is the adoption, if people can't use bitcoin to buy things then why buying it (except for investing). |

If the bitcoin is dead currency, many people will stop, but many people will try to pump it i think.

that probably could be a reason of people's who stopped bitcoin. but let me say if people stopped bitcoin because of it's price ups and downs. it mean they don't aware of bitcoin completely. they don't know how the bitcoin's price works. and how to get profit. If I were there place I would buy more and more. |

Nothing in the world can come even close to what damage fiat currencies have caused. But people are still using it. Bitcoin is not different from fiat currencies as it's getting used by all sorts of people for different purposes, but Bitcoin is the one that is being blamed for being used by criminals. |
