Unfortunatelly bitcoin and market sentiment doesn't help IOTA  I wonder if buy now or wait because I think bitcoin could drop much lower than 2000usd and it gives much less IOTA USD price.. We are still inside the wake of the AB aftermath. Sales dwindling. For a way to long time I've only spotted the crypto currency innovation not the "usual use cases" luring behind, since I dispise 'em. On the long run parallel "blockchains" beat sequencial ones. People stating otherwise but running a Quadcore themselfes are mediocre at best. |

got a have safe transaction with IOTA before price man. It is sucks if we can not even feel comfortable sending to wallet right now. still pending after 4 days and this is not just me. |

I have also raised a ticket 8hrs ago. nothing yet I have no update from bitfinix yet after few days now. no MiOTA confirmed yet. no update from bitfinix after 5 days. this is leaving me bad taste for IOTA. not even able to safely do transaction at all. |

looks like the generate seed option is no longer available even of full node, right?
i tryed to set up a full node, but it always says "NOT SYNC"
any idea about why? the GUI client is honestly pathetic and heavy, works very bad,
a C++ implementation looks urgent, Java must be out of the equation for any full node, and some implementation to quick find networks rather
than beg for it at slack is something needed too,
bitcoin client got hardcoded quite some ip's already, it just starts downloading the blockchain by itself,
IOTA is adding quite some trammels for non tech users,
post the output of getNodeInfos  |

I have IOTA wallet 2.3.0 and it works properly (i didn't try to send a transaction, just open it)
are there issues with v2.3.1? should I upgrade or not?

your wallet is not connected with the network. You either don't have neighbors for full node or don't have a right host server ip address for light node. IOTA now at $0.2. Just scooped up some coins for the first time. Good entry point I think. Will scoop up more if it hits $0.15.

Byteball has been gaining ground on against IOTA coinmarketcap 100
Most of the coins were gaining ground on against IOTA because it's very hard to control the price of a well-distributed coin. Fewer owners - easier for them to collude implicitly/explicitly. |

Just dumped my IOTA for Byteball at rate of 2:1 (IOTA was roughly twice the marketcap of Byteball at the time)
Byteball has been gaining ground on against IOTA coinmarketcap 100
Very impressive performance.
1. 20% of bytes are owned by LISK, as far as I can remember. And other ICOs and btcwhales have huge stakes. Their entry price was exactly zero. This fact alone is frightening. 2. One day (not so far) the hyperstake distribution of byteball ends. Many holders will lose the incentive to hold bytes. This can lead to a massive dump And as a technology byteball is not in the same league as iota. Centralized and trustbased, Byteball should be a service built on top of some real cryptocurrency. I know this is not the Byteball thread, just reacting to the "Dump all iotas for Byteball" post. Hard to believe anybody would be crazy enough to do this. |
