Download wallet from https://trinity.iota.org and import your seed. Your balance should show up. The wallet is much more user friendly and works much smoother than the old one you know.

Hi thanks for trying to help, unfortunately my seed isn't 81 characters, it is 70 something characters long....which worked fine on the old wallet but this new one won't let me enter it, it just keeps saying my seed is too short.  Roll Eyes

You have made 5 posts in this forum and 3 of these are of analysis and financial advice.
Are you a trader? an analyst? a consultant or what?
Needless to analyze a currency graphically saying that it is underestimated and that the chart can only go up: you understand that this is absurd!

Iota has one of the best foundations out there and it has excellent fundamentals, but as long as Bitcoin does not start climbing again, ALL of the other coins will suffer and follow!

Overall updates are very positive and IOTA time to time get mentions as one of the high potential project to be here. Tangle has been brought back into light once again. MIOTA is available at discount rates and next waves will be to give good ROI to those missed somehow in ICO. If you go for big projects with big support you can be sure in spite of dips that price will not only recover but also will have grow gradually.

Yes, many had this issue. Just fill out the missing characters with 9s. Meaning, input your 70 character seed and add eleven 9 characters Wink

Europol, German, and British authorities say they’ve arrested a British man who stole more than $10 million worth of IOTA.

"The investigation began in early 2018 when the Hessen State Police received several reports from citizens of money been stolen from their cryptocurrency wallets. Further investigations revealed the existence of fraud from the website Iotaseed.io, targeting the users of the IOTA cryptocurrency. IOTA wallets are protected by an 81 digit seed, which can be generated using seed-generators found online, such as on the official IOTA website. Among the sites promoted online was a malicious seed-generator running on iotaseed.io. Several victims created the seed on this website in good faith, however the seeds were stored in the background by the service provider. Later the criminal used these to gain access to the victims’ wallets and transferred their money to other wallets created with fake IDs."

Untangled Episode #4: Indoor Mapping & Localisation - https://blog.iota.org/untangled-episode-4-indoor-mapping-localisation-832a57432690

"In the fourth episode of Untangled we are exploring the realm of indoor mapping and localisation. Mapping and localisation has reached incredible levels of accuracy over the years, but indoor mapping is lacking far behind.

To find out why that is and how it can be improved through the use of distributed ledger technologies, we are talking to Georgios Pipelidis, co-founder of NavIndo, a Munich-based start-up dedicated to indoor mapping and localisation."

Now, the next question is: How on Earth can you recover the stolen tokens from the thief? A hard fork? I believe its the only solution but a solution that damages a crypto's reputation.

Did you even read the article or only the title? There is no word about a hard fork or something similar. There will be no hard fork. The thief was found and arrested and probably the police have secured the private keys where the stolen IOTA are stored. Dominick Schiener was stating that IOTA team helped police to track and monitor the stolen IOTA on the tangle.

Why a hard fork. If my IOTAs were be stolen because I used a website for seed creation, what I did aswell, without changing some characters, because we all know, you can not trust anyone in the internet, then this is your personal mistake. There was no hard fork because GOX stole Bitcoins from their costumer. It is your personal risk everyday.
The best solution would be that the person, who have been stolen, can authorize that the IOTAs belongs to him to get the IOTAs back. Otherwise the IOTAs should be spread via an auction like they did with other crypto currencies.

Did you read my post before you posted this? There was no single word about a hard fork.

Did Iota swap at main net ?

IOTA has been in Mainnet for a long time.

Hello to all.
Faced such a problem in iotawebwallet:
Reinstalled the browser, there was a complete reset of the entrance to the wallet (my wallet is not displayed). Tried to recover. I enter the Name, sid, password - in the answer: please input a valid 81-trytes seed. Although there can be no error in the side - just copied and pasted from a notebook.
Please help. On the coin purse.

First of all, I would not use web wallets at all. It is better to use Trinity Wallet for IOTA.

Secondly, if you remove/reinstall your browser you used to access the web wallets, all saved states are usually removed as well, since they are stored in the browser cache or as cookies.

Have you used import function shown in this image by entering a wallet name (arbitrarily), your seed and a password optionally? If so, please check if your seed is exact 81 characters long. If your seed is shorter than 81 characters (as it was allowed at the early stage of IOTA) then fill up the missing characters with 9s. For example, if you seed is 78 characters long, then go like that ABC....XYZ999.
