New season high for Flagg, 35 points, leading the Mavericks to beat the LA Clippers. This team is really surprising. Davis didn’t play after returning last game, but Flagg still got good support from Klay, who had a great shooting night with 23 points. So what happened to the Clippers? They’re not as good as they used to be. Leonard is back, but the struggle continues.

I will not talk too much about the Mavericks on this one because they're struggling for many reasons. The problem is with the Clippers, and they're worse than the Mavericks right now not in terms of record, but in terms of the future of the team.

The Clippers ACCIDENTALLY created a dynasty in the current roster of the OKC Thunder. Let's not forget that SGA and J-Dub came from the PG-SGA + draft picks trade that happened a few years ago, and it's the request of Kawhi Leonard. The player who's basically unavailable when they needed them the most. Sure he played very well on this game, but for me, he's one of the main reasons as to why the team's struggling. Looking at the roster of the Clippers, they're pretty much stacked. I mean they have Zubac, Collins, Harden, Kawhi, and some role players. It's just that, the team currently is dysfunctional.

You know what's worse? They don't have any draft picks until 2031 I think so they're pretty much stuck with their current roster. At most, the Clippers are just a play-in contender with or without Kawhi.

They have a very bad bench players that resulted to this game even though their main-line up was already available. This is the downside of their current roster that full of old star players that they acquired through sacrificing their young players that weaken their 2nd unit team.

Mavs manage to beat them with Klay Thompson manage to have a very good game that helps cooper flagg to have an option for scoring.

Without Klay contribution I believe they can’t beat the Clippers.

i was thinking Cooper Flagg is a disappointment few weeks ago... but his star is really shining now. he's only 18, btw. his season averages are 16.7/6.5/3.5. he played very good yesterday too. i think this kid can reach crazy levels in 2-3 years.

Definitely that's what going to happen on Flagg's Career especially if Mavs will try to develop him and try to rebuild then make him their main star.

In their current situation its hard for Flagg to take over especially that they have Davis and also if Kyrie will came back for sure that he's ball touches and minutes will get affected.

Mavs have promising kid in their roster and they just need to find ways to released his full potential. If they failed big time on this for sure their team will struggle to compete on playoffs for many years.

Yeah, though I guess if Kyrie and AD will become healthy and they start to play Flagg still will going to earned his minutes knowing how good Kyrie as long as how the coach will play them together  there's  a big chance that the young rising superstar may improve more, but still on how the coach and the players will blend their games together, still long road for Flagg but that last game performance against Clippers gives some glimpse if what he can provide.

Well, yes I agree that their bench is little bit weak but still they seem like tanking too much, or just plain bad. I was about to write this actually last year after they eliminated from playoffs: If I were Clippers GM, I would think 'damn, what else can I do? I tried to get the best players but it seems like not working'. If we somehow forget for one second that players are old, there are good scorers, good guards, good center. On paper it seems very good. Zubac maybe is not a superstar but I like that dude, he plays so solid, I would take him to my team. Brooke Lopez is solid, Batum is good. The superstars are supposed to be very good still, they have very big contracts. They have Bogdanovic now, he is also not a star but very good player. They are not supposed to be this bad.

I mean they are competing against young guys that wants to stay in the league unlike for the Clippers stars who are at the age of retirement. CP3 probably just saw how bad the current Clippers and made him retire this season 

Im just going to say this Clippers would probably suck at the upcoming seasons because they haven't cultivated young guys talents but insisting on using over used old veterans even if they have no team chemistry and this is the result.
