Karl-Anthony Towns is a beast today against Atlanta Hawks he scored 56 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. At only 22 years old he broke the franchise record for the highest points scored in a single game for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Also this is a needed win as they are barely hanging a play off spot in the Western Conference. The best thing about his performance is I barely even notice that he scored 56 points, meaning he was not a ball hog and he only has the ball when needed. He is truly a team player.
With the addition of Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, they are a team to beat come playoff times.

They are really in trouble and they needed this win desperately because its crazy in the West playoff right now and every win is a must. And to add to the record, he is the youngest since Shaq did it in 1994. He really need to step up as we all know that All-Star Jimmy Butler is out. It is still a impressive display although the Atlanta Hawks is undermanned. What surprises me its that he surpasses Mo Williams, I really thought that Kevin Garnett holds the record for the T'Wolves franchise.  Grin
There are alot of each star players that are out even the ones not in the playoffs just like Isiah Thomas who was out for the L.A Lakers last night before the game and during the game they lost Lonzo Ball. Which I thought would make them lost the game being down 14 points into the second half but somehow they wrecked the Mavericks come the fourth quarter.

Hahaha. You wish wolves is still pure of young bloods and there are so many strong team on the West. I bet that Houston rockets will have the chance to defeat the Golden States if ever James Harden will continue his outstanding performance during regular season. I'm Spurs Fan but I think that they will not gonna make it.

Did you guys saw that video of LeBron James saying that he'd vote for himself as MVP. He is definitely having one of the best seasons of his career despite being 33, but James Harden for me personally is the MVP this season. I kinda felt a disrespect towards Harden from James. They are both outstanding players but Harden is leading the NBA in scoring and has never had a bad streak like James' in the month of January. This is just my personal opinion don't get offended if you're a LeBron James fanboy. Let's have a discussion about this.

Seeing how spurs played, maybe this season is no longer for them, west really been dominated by Houston and if they continue playing like this,
I think they can match with warriors, just needed to make sure that the entire line up will play the same way that they've got from the regular
season, the squad is really developed team work and blend perfectly form each others.

Don't sleep on Washington!
Saying that Spurs aren't that good... When the Wizards want, they really play like they should.
Yea, choking against under .500 teams, but that will not be the case on the playoffs.

I feel they'll pass the 1st round. Not sure tho, it'll probably be against Lebron.

2018 Champions will be, either Houston Rockets or Golden State Warriors. The most powerful teams in the West, even in the league as a whole. No doubt they will be in the Western Conference Finals if they are the first or the second seed. Tongue
Don't sleep on Toronto.
They're playing pretty good this season. They are definitely going to the finals.
I don't see the Cavs doing something in the playoffs, sorry LeFlop.

My brother, I'm definitely not sleeping on Toronto, but did you saw what happened when they played against The Cavaliers and LeFlop as you have written? DeRozan completely choked, nowhere to be seen the whole game. The point that I'm trying to make is that the Raptors are a good team throughout the season against teams like Orlando and Atlanta, but when LeFlop and the Cavaliers come in line for a match-up, completely gone, all of the players not just DeRozan. Houston with the NBA Championship this season, it's a no brainer.

There's no denying that this is James Harden year so I say that he will the MVP for this season.

Agree, sorry to let you know that Spurs will be out of the playoffs after so many years and its really pain to see him to get out like this one. Leonard injury has really the reason but I'm sure that coach Popovich is already looking for contingency plans.

Since 1998 the Spurs havent missed a Playoff appearance. 20 Seasons in a row and I think that Popovich can give them another one to keep the streak going. I still think that if it wasnt for one of the dirtiest players in the League in Zaza, the Spurs could have put a good fight against the Warriors last year. But a HOF coach as in Popovich I dont think they will miss this playoffs, one of the best coaches in the League.

tonight there is the big match between Oklahoma and San Antonio! San Antonio winning the match would hook up Oklahoma in fourth place but losing the match would be very close to the ninth place currently occupied by the Los Angeles Clippers.
on 4 April there is also the dangerous direct clash Clippers against San Antonio.
We'll see if Popovich, once again, will succeed in bringing San Antonio to the Playoffs

Lebron James is just an over confident dude. That is what i don't like about him. He chooses his team mate so he can go to the final because he can't do it alone. Unlike Michael Jordan who is humble and worked with whomever the front office threw at him. He does not choose his team mates.

I can see what you are saying. As I watched him in his last game and he was crying to the referee when a call didn't go his way.
Then he ends up yelling at the same referee the very next play when he is getting a foul.
He doesn't even run up court when all his team mates are already there trying to score.
What is this? Getting paid too much to make an effort when needed?
I think his pockets are full of money that he does not care if he wins or loses some times when I see him playing in games that he deems as superficial to the playoff hunt. Undecided

Forget about Jordan, we always compare Lebron to Jordan, they are different players and we know how clever Lebron is, at least
he has proven he can win championships, 2 in Miami if I am not mistakes and 1 in cavaliers, and this guy is consistent in going to the Finals, what more can you ask.

If there is a betting on who will be winning the MVP award this season, I would certainly put all my money on James Harden.
His team is number 1 this seasons and in his time in Houston he never achieve that big success, thanks to Paul the chemisty is good.
I think regular season MVP and Finals MVP would be good for Harden.

I agree with you, this is James Harden's year to be chosen as a MVP of the NBA. They are the number one team right now in the western conference and had a good chance of dethroning the Golden State Warriors.

Honestly, I agree. We can't deny that both were a great players on their own way. MJ and Lebron are somehow similar in a way of carrying their team. They both get good teammates and lead the team on and off the court. They are both smart and unstoppable on their prime. MJ is history and Lebron is the present.

Both Lebron James and Michael Jordan are among the strongest players of all time, if not the strongest ever.
they 2 have 2 different personalities:
Lebron James was loved inside and outside of the field and made himself available to his teammates. Lebron James instead is more self-centered and dictates the conditions for his team.
both have strong personalities!

Damn, that conversation is hopeless. It doesn't lead to anything. Both were and are great figures and one of the best basketball players and that's it.

NBA regular season is coming to an end, enjoy it instead!

I hate when young people that never saw a single game of Michel Jordan on TV or something and talk like he is the GOAT.
Few youtube videos don't make an expert, keep that in mind. And enjoy watching Lebron, he will clearly pass the all-time scoring record, which is crazy.
