Raps just look exposed. Nurse isn't an upgrade over Casey. I don't think they look exposed or anything. After all, they hold the second best record in the entire league. As freedomgo mentioned, Kawhi did not play, they also had Mark Gasol play as a starter last night, can't tell if they were trying new lineups or just matching up Blake and Drummond. On top of that, they lost in a tight game in overtime against a team that has a good little streak goin' on (8-2). Looks like there is still some hate in his heart or he could just be very competitive. He is hardly over the fact that he was fired after winning coach of the year award and Raptors having franchise high 59 reg season wins. I'd be butthurt if I was him.

Pau Gasol finally joined the Milwaukee Bucks team. He is a good player but I think he is a little bit old and I don't know if he will be able to help the team, especially in the playoff series which is kind of tiring.
What do you think guys? Is this signing going to empower the Bucks squad?

It's not how gasul play the game anymore. What the bucks needs is the leadership during crucial games especially in the playoffs where in composure is needed. Gasul can calm down the players when they became stiff in their plays and that's what veteran players can do in crucial games.

Bucks will come out of the east
No question, they will be the beast in the East and they could possibly be champ this season. Woop woop. Finally someone said this, Bucks is really an aspiring champ for this season. we havent seen a 6'8 250 pounds who is very quick and versatile and a good all around player.
Post of the day lol. Have you ever heard of someone named Magic Johnson ? He played 30 years before Lebron. You Lebron fanboys should stop with the nonsense. You're either trolling or you have no idea what you're talking about. Jordan, Magic, Chamberlain and Jabbar are the top players of all time. You could include Russell as well. These guys revolutionized the game, Lebron didn't whatever you may think. Then you have guys like Lebron, Kobe, Bird... but just because you like Lebron, you've seen him play and you believe he has lots of skills for a tall guy doesn't put him in the same category as those legends above. Be serious just one minute. Reply of the year lol! Nah, we have different perspective man! You have your own, I have mine. And I dont know if youre as well trolling or just a plain hater. Of course I know what I was talking about, I didnt even argue the names of the legends, I was talking about the popular name that come up when we are talking about the GOAT. And players 30 years before isnt as explosive as today in case you havent noticed how player evolved today.

Carl Lewis isn't as fast as Justin Gatlin... he's a legend, Gatlin is not. It's called progress, mostly pharmaceutical progress. Have you seen Jordan play ? Magic ? And I mean live, not in replays. If you have, you know that Lebron is not in the same league as these two.

I'm not really sure what Bucks sign Gasol. Anyways, someone said because Pau brings experienced to that young Bucks so partly if maybe the reason. Checking on his stats as a San Antonio, he averages just 4 points and almost 5 rebounds again. Maybe he could be just a back up for Lopez. So I don't think that he will add significant numbers for the team, perhaps some intangibles like playoffs experienced.

People are putting too much bearing on championships when discussing who is the greatest. I think Lebron is a better overall player than Jordan. The 6 rings doesn't matter to me because Jordan always had stacked teams and Pippen is better than any player Lebron has ever played with.
But that's how the way it is dude, Jordan has set the bar high. That's why when debates happen as to who is the greatest, Jordan - 6, Kobe - 5, Lebron - 3. So it really matters. Lebron played with some of the best during their prime, specially in D Wade, just saying.

As you said, stats wise we seen nothing significant favoring bucks after signing gasul, as he's not performing well after the lakers era way back with kobe and odom, but in anyhow, bucks needs someone who can guide them all the way to the finals, even he can't give 100% of physical capabilities but mentally he can add some good chemistry.

Oh my god ! Jordan's Bulls won their 6 titles without a point guard and a center ! Jordan's teammates were Bill Cartwright, Will Perdue, Bill Wennington, Jud Buechler, Scott Williams, Craig Hodges, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, Pete Myers, Luc Longley, John Paxson, B.J. Armstrong... do you have any idea how bad these guys were ? The whole playing system of the Bulls was made so that they would never touch the ball in offense. None of those guys would be a starter for a franchise today, they would be at the end of the bench (except maybe for Armstrong and Harper) ! They were there because they were good teammates but that's it. Hadn't they played for the Bulls, no one would remember them today. Actually I'm sure many of you never heard of them. Sure he had Pippen, Rodman (and before that Horace Grant) and even Kukoc but none of them was a superstar of their own, they proved it while he was gone. He won 6 titles with 2 good players alongside him (3 if you count Kukoc later on) and lots of very average players to say the least.

Right, maybe we really taken that Gasol can't really perform high level basketball. But I'm sure being a veteran in the game already, he can be the catalyst for this young Bucks if the playoffs. I'm sure he can still contribute not scoring wise though, maybe just a simple pick and roll or some play inside so that the floor can be open and space so that they will have another options of scoring.

Maybe Gasol has more left in the tank than we think and maybe that's why he left the Spurs, because he feels he can still play at a good level but wasn't given the chance to prove it this year. After all, he was still scoring 10ppg in 23 minutes last year. Those are decent numbers. Anyway, whether he can still bring it or not, he's definitely a leader, someone who can by his experience give a lot to a younger inexperienced team, which the Bucks are. He'll definitely be an asset for them.

Hardcore lbj fans always put up in arguments that he has pippen and rodman lol. Jerry krause stated that he didn't hear anything from jordan about who he needed to help him. And that he believed he was so good he could win with anyone on his team. And jordan was THAT good. Too many apologetics for lbj and that will only tarnish his legacy.

Championship is definitely important but also it brings out the question why does a GOAT caliber player doesn't have other good players with him ? I mean lets look at Karl Malone and john Stockton, they were definitely great but if they are in GOAT discussions I am sorry but they were two great players who couldn't pull it off, so I doubt they are at that level, MJ probably only had Scottie we can count on and maaaybe Rodman but that is a bit tough.
If you are great anyway than players should want to play with you to begin with, players should want to come to your team, look at warriors, how did they got Durant? Because they were already great and Durant wanted a ring with them, why didn't T-Mac and Yao get another superstar ? Because, even with another superstar they possibly could lose. Why did Bosh-Wade-Lebron deal happened? Because they believed they could get couple titles together.

You could also add Charles Barkley or Patrick Ewing in that discussions. Jordan denied the 2 a ring because they're unfortunate to have Jordan as contemporaries. If you are great anyway than players should want to play with you to begin with, players should want to come to your team, look at warriors, how did they got Durant? They can be defined as super-teams. Previous era's, you only need one great player and then lots of supporting cast to help. But now, 2 or 3 great players need to join to order to bring championships.

I would take prime Kevin Garnett over prime Tim Duncan. Duncan gets way more recognition because he played for a good team and people give him too much credit for the 5 champions they won.
I would even take a peak 2002-2003 McGrady on my team over Kobe.

Ok now back to present days (since most of the recent conversations are comparison between the past and the present lol), here are the current top 5 in standings of MVP race: James Harden Giannis Antetokounmpo Kevin Durant Paul George Nikola Jokic Surprise Jokic made it to top 5. Yes that underrated young gun is again making sounds. Although his chances to take the MVP this season is quite slim, at least he is labeled to the top calibers players this season. Harden is still on top. Looks like there is a possibility that he can make it 2 in a row if ever Rockets will finished good this year.
...and people give him too much credit for the 5 champions they won.
Looking at how Duncan contributes to that 5 championship, he deserves that "too much credit". And not just in Finals. Try to check his monster stats from season to playoffs during that championship years. No way he will just given a recognition like that just because of his name. Anyways I erased the quote about Kevin Garnett because Im not trying to compare the two as someone might mislead.

sourceI don't mean to hate or troll (well maybe a little bit ) but do we see more of this^ tonight against the Clippers or Lakers pull their shit together and act like a team that wants to make the playoffs? I guess I'm more interested in the stuff that goes off the court rather than the game itself. Lakers are such a mess at this point, even if you are not a fan you just feel sorry for them.

I'm surprised that Jokic is on the top 5 but the impact he made with the current rankings with Denver Nuggets is high too. I'm between with James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Nikola Jokic deserves some recognition, he is very underrated player, this guy is still young and have so much to prove in the future. I don't see westbrook in the list, what happen? I guess Westbrook did better than PG, he manage the play that's why he is having some tripple double most of the time.
