I just finished watching Manu's jersey retirement ceremony. If you missed it like me last night, NBA has it uploaded to their Youtube channel - here.

He was such a creative/unique player to watch, highly competitive dude with tremendous accomplishments throughout his career. Just to list a few of them: 4x Nba Champ, Euro League Champ and probably most important/memorable one is the Olympic gold in Athens vs. team USA.

Last night's ceremony is/was a well-deserved moment for him, his family and for all of the San Antonio Spurs fans.

Manu was such an intelligent player both offensively and defensively. He and the other European players also had a great influence to the Nba, So I might say, hes really well deserved for the retirement ceremony. We'll never gonna see another team who have as solid as Manu, Parker, and Duncan for a long time.

Right, I guess players like who went into this kind of gruesome injury should also go to psychologist and help the players to recover their mind and attitude.

We have seen players able to come back from worst injury and play like PG but there are players who can't maybe because of the big mental barriers they can't overcome and they are not the same self after that injury.

The healing technology now is more advance, so he could come back as normal.
When we say out for the remainder of the season, that is huge, and it could be yourself is your biggest enemy when you come back.
This season, we have 2 good players who got serious injury, IIRC, we also have Victor Oladipo, and this one is the latest.

I would agree that the technology is advance now and players are taking advantage of it and can comeback. What I'm saying is that it should be a holistic approach, not just your body but your mind need to be healed as well. And I think NBA teams should also implement this one, if haven't done so and I'm also not sure if they're already into it.

Harizen has pointed out a good example in his previous post, Hayward, he got injured at the start of last season If my memory serves me right, came back this season, but wasn't his old self. Maybe his body healed, but the psychological trauma that might have created in him has not recovered that's why he can't perform better after the injury.

Maybe we can say that to DRose as well. Got injured come back, play subpar but slowly regain his confidence (I'm assuming without any help, specially from Chicago Bulls). Just some minute details that a NBA team should offer to their players to really help them recover not just the physical but the emotional aspects as well.

I believe there's a big money betting on the Warriors in this game or the public money is on the warriors, so they let the Wolves win the game.
For pure fans, we will not appreciate this, but for gamblers and fans at the same time, we already understand this.

I don't know. Maybe it's the referee's way of getting back at Curry taunting one of them after he made a three in 0.5 seconds. Although the ref didn't see it because he has his back on Curry, but the other two might witnessed, that's why the controversial call.

I saw the replay, the first shot made by Durant was a foul before the shot, there's still plenty of time so why would he catch and shoot on that?

it's very controversial indeed, calls which can let go and allow the overtime to decide the game, but it's a referees decision as it is, and even players contest that call it can't be change if they've seen a contact, but for viewers like us this two calls will be a questionable one both for durant, a winning
shot and this foul without moving opponents.

Usually though refs are letting go of fouls specially in the last dying seconds because they wanted to avoid controversy. But referee's decision is final though. But just image if this is playoff time. I'm sure that there will be a lot of media backlash. Is this a sign that referee are going to be extra tight in playoffs specially it can spell the difference between a team winning or losing?

NBA referees nowadays are too soft to those calls and these unwanted fouls are the one that's so frustrating on behalf of the players. I watched the game and it's indeed GSW vs. WOLVES and the REFS.
Kevin Durant already released a 3 point shot behind the arc and he's in the shooting motion before the referee calls for a foul but the Ref. didn't count the bucket instead calls for a regular foul but luckily Steph Curry made a 3 point shot but then again the Ref. was on the move and they called a soft foul on Durant and KAT made 1 pt. game winning free throw. It was Rigged!

The nuggets have fell off the wagon and do not look like they will be any good in the playoffs. Jovic looks like a joke out there and where is murray with those three point sinkers in the final minutes of the game?
There last two games they failed to score more than 100 points in a game. They cant blame it on making it through to just stroll past in the regular season. Very disappointing for their home fans to see them in their next game.

yeah whatever it is because itnis very clear to now that the team who manages to reach thr magic 4 in easter and western conference will be the same in this season. GSW has a lot pf good players and definitely they still.has the high chance in winning again the overall championship.

 Anyway, there are many good teams to consider so whatever the result is when there is a championship game and it will.involve GSW then i should not miss to bet on GSW again like lasy year. Betting takes the win whoever the team wins the championship.

This is how you play defense when you get beat to the spot. Grab his jersey, hold his waist/hip area, keep holding it and then push him slightly in the back just in case.

I agree that it was a foul. Durant was beaten to the position and the only way to catch KAT is to hold on his jersey to stop him from going to the hoop. I don't know how Durant could have missed that play, obviously KAT is the only option but he was too slow to react.

At this point for a team to beat warriors they need to not only fight as hard as they can and do as best as they can but they also need the calls on their side as well.

It is all about what makes NBA watched more, we all know warriors is the best team in the league by far, it is not even close whoever the second you may think it is, so its getting a bit boring, even during Lakers three peat years it was at least a bit of fun and there was a bit of challenge in many of those years.

So if you make the refs somehow fight against warriors and warriors need to fight a lot harder than other teams to win like have some sort of handicap against them than you make the games a bit more entertaining, I hope this continues because otherwise we are just gonna see the first 4 rings in a row next year since Celtics did it and it won't be entertaining at all.

If they knew karl towns was going to be the go to guy then where was the double team? Let the perimeter shooters try if they wanted to. You just knew they were going on the inside to towns if he was open.

Can be the reason why this things happen, but being a professional you need to act accordingly, this call only showed that the ref really still have the control inside the court, no matter how great is the player was he can still make a mistake and ref can call against him, lesson learned from KD.

Moving on.. playoffs is approaching and surely KD and the rest of the GSW team will be ready for this for sure.
