Can be the reason why this things happen, but being a professional you need to act accordingly, this call only showed that the ref really still have the control inside the court, no matter how great is the player was he can still make a mistake and ref can call against him, lesson learned from KD.

They are professional but they are just human, so they can make mistakes.

Moving on.. playoffs is approaching and surely KD and the rest of the GSW team will be ready for this for sure.

Anyone seen the Warriors vs Wolves game? A lot of controversial calls in that game. Well, first off, Curry led the team from 9 point down in the last 1.5 minutes hitting threes. But prior to that with 5.8 seconds left, Durant hit a three and get fouled. I thought it was going to be a four point play and give the Warriors the lead by it's waved by the referee, to my surprised. Then Curry buries a three to tie the game with 0.5 seconds. The only possible way to score at this point for the Wolves is to lobe a pass to KAT, it was long. However, the referee called a crucial foul on Durant for pushing KAT, very controversial. KAT made 1 out of 2. Giving the Wolves 131-130 win. What are you thoughts? Is it a right call?

I was thinking a couple of months ago about these calls the referee make during these games and they seem to be out of no where. There are officials which do favor certain players and teams so you never know about these type of calls which can cost the team the game. Especially by one point.

This is not new, that's why some says NBA is rigged.
I believe there's a big money betting on the Warriors in this game or the public money is on the warriors, so they let the Wolves win the game.
For pure fans, we will not appreciate this, but for gamblers and fans at the same time, we already understand this.

At this point for a team to beat warriors they need to not only fight as hard as they can and do as best as they can but they also need the calls on their side as well.

It is all about what makes NBA watched more, we all know warriors is the best team in the league by far, it is not even close whoever the second you may think it is, so its getting a bit boring, even during Lakers three peat years it was at least a bit of fun and there was a bit of challenge in many of those years.

So if you make the refs somehow fight against warriors and warriors need to fight a lot harder than other teams to win like have some sort of handicap against them than you make the games a bit more entertaining, I hope this continues because otherwise we are just gonna see the first 4 rings in a row next year since Celtics did it and it won't be entertaining at all.

If that is so then why call it a professional basketball.
Refs doing that will lose their trust on them.
Do you reqlly think the refs are always on the GSW side? It will be breaching their profession and there is consequences for breaking that.

They are not perfect though. It is a decision of a human and what he saw.

I agree. I would say Durant deserves the Finals MVP because he was the most consistent amongst their best player that's why he got the awards. If Curry wanted it, he could easily get it, but during crucial plays, Durant delivered a dagger 3's, shifting the momentum in their side, thus winning the title.

I do understand your frustration but you should get used to it yet these situations do exist on NBA where referee calls sometimes are questionable specially on a close fight game.As a basketball sports lover and a fan you will see clearly on how these calls are way too shady but we cant do anything about it.

When it comes to consistency plays i would vote for Durant yet we have seen on how Curry perform when he's double teamed but i agree on the fact that Curry do deserved that MVP award but who knows if he would able to pull it off this season.

I don't know. Maybe it's the referee's way of getting back at Curry taunting one of them after he made a three in 0.5 seconds. Although the ref didn't see it because he has his back on Curry, but the other two might witnessed, that's why the controversial call.

I have to take a review because I don't know if that is the same referee that he taunts that made that call. I still remember though Duncan, he was ejected, by just laughing in the bench.

I saw the replay, the first shot made by Durant was a foul before the shot, there's still plenty of time so why would he catch and shoot on that?

Ok, here's my call. I reviewed the replay and I would agree that Durant was caught off-guard, he was beaten by a couple of steps by KAT, did try to recover it by being physical and some push.

So yes there was a foul, yes very controversial since it less than a second, but referee blew his whistle and made the right call in that game.

That was 100% a foul, I agree with you and I'm glad ref had the guts to call it. Usually with 3 or less seconds left on the clock refs rarely call any contact a foul.

I agree, as well. That foul was made even before the ball got close to KAT. I dont know why they were complaining about that. That call was a very important and crucial one, so does the situation. The ref did a good job there, paying attention to every detail and called a foul when its really needed.

Maybe durant is just getting old and forgets how to play in the dying seconds of the game now. He hit the three pointer before currys but he forgot to do the step back to draw the foul after his shot. This is how harden does it all day long. So why didnt he which wouldnt compromise the win?

At that point all he thought about was to hit the three in order to tie the game. From the Warriors game I watched I don't think Durant is the type of player that does a step back three very often and you definitely can't compare him with Harden since he does it in every single game and that's his special move.

Talking about Luka, he's undoubtedly a sensational rookie. Im just too concerned if he could keep the pace for the ROTY against Trae Young. I mean Trae has been consistently becoming a monster in the NBA while he's still on his rookie year. While, Luka has been struggling in terms of 3 point fg percentage.
I would really love to see Luka win the ROTY.

It's still the team play that counts though Luka is an asset to the Mavs. Just 3 point lead for the Mavs, the game was close enough. Congrats Mavs boys.

Hornets has no chance in the playoffs, I was not able to check their latest standing yet, but I guess they will not make it this off season.

Resting Lebron wouldn't change anything as they knew that they are already out of this season, no need to risk him for a possible injuries to happen,
better to have him in a good shape next season and adjust if how they can manage to comes up much stronger.

At last, they made now the good decision to sit him out. That's the end of the line for him this season, he should now workout for the next season to come.

Let's not make this news any bigger as if you look at it the "rest of the season" for the Los Angeles Lakers is only 5 games out before they finish the regular season which I think won't change anything considering that they won't be making to the play offs. Pulling him out early would also assure the team to at least don't go up more in the draft lottery considering that they are toe to toe with other teams similar to their record. This would assure them to have at least to have a top 10 pick after the regular season is over.

They are 3 games behind the last spot. That will be tough as there is only 5 to 6 games remaining for this season.

Hornets did a great job during the first phase of the season but didn't able maintained it. Kemba Walker is always on a Player of the Week list during that time so I really expect to see them at Playoffs. I laso believed they can able to deal in the competition in the East now and can get a spot even at 6th to 8th.

Well then, hoping that improvements and actions will be made by them in the off-season especially that the upcoming free agency will be full of big fish.

There is some more games to go and we still don't have the full picture on playoffs yet but it seems like the higher ups are already decided Portland probably won't leave their fourth position, they mathematically still could but not in just 5 games unless they start to suck all of a sudden ( I know Nurkic is injured but I doubt he would make that much difference) Jazz and clippers probably could change positions, we still don't know what will happen, if jazz wins 2 in a row they will be fifth and if they lose one and win one its a tie and if they lose both they are sixth, I assume fifth is more guaranteed.

It is the 8th seed that I wonder the most, Spurs and OKC will battle it out and neither will be happy about the result no matter what, 8th seed will face warriors and most likely get eliminated on the first round easily however 7th seed will get Denver, which plays amazingly this year and sure there is a possibility of an upset but I doubt it will happen in the first round.

On the other hand the east is still amazingly close, 8th seed and 9th position is all tied right now and nobody knows who will be the 8th seed on the east, we all know the finalists will be either Celtics or Sixers or more likely raptors or bucks but still going to playoffs is a big thing for any team.
