I can say based on the above statistics, it's very clear that Harden has an edge and could win the MVP competition this season.

Harden will always get his points. Take away his free throws and the guy would probably still be in the top 3 scorers. He's just that good of a scorer to put it plainly but i think it's not going to be lopsided on who'll win mvp. Stats aside though, i think giannis is playing well above everyone else right now.

I think you can relate to it with Harden being an agile player, if you haven't notice it players who are quick tends to get many calls as referees always pay attention to what they are doing (or not doing) as they couldn't catch up on what is really happening. Seen a lot of examples where Harden got fouled just by someone hitting his beard or him just looking funny just by someone touching him all of them are bad calls and he is getting away with it for doing his part. For big men you don't get the same situation the most often time they get foul calls are when they are in the low post area and they'll only get called when they actually see a physical contact between the players while shooting.

Watching out that video. Harden's stepped back shot been blocked once but not totally humilated but i can say that Rookies defense and performance is recognizable.

It is not just about the stats, we know Harden has good stats and he has been playing amazingly for sure but that is just one aspect of the MVP voting, most valuable player has 2 important parts that will make sure harden is not elected (I mean he can but if he doesn't).

One is most "valuable" player, so all in all we need to remove the players from the teams and see how they are, if you remove harden from Houston they are not a good team, they can't probably make the playoffs, they have tucker and Capela and of course Chris Paul but its still a 9th or even 10th team on western conference, doubtful if they are ever a tanking team looking for a high pick but that is possible.

The refs already got used to it, each games Harden plays there's always a soft calls that we will see, He really good in doing  such act and refs will buy it and make a calls, I used to remember Paul Pierce way back when he's still on it's prime playing for Boston, he also manage to be like this gaining refs calls and always take the advantage.

There's players who knows how to act and deliver it perfectly in the eyes of the referees.

You're not wrong actually. NBA media are the voters for the MVP. This is a good read for all of us. It was stated on that site that MVP voting depends on the NBA media. But since there were a lot of bias votes last years they decided to exclude NBA media that are connected to the team.

@NBA tells team broadcasters they will no longer vote for league awards. Conflict of interest now greater than ever. It's the right call.

Looks like they shut him down for this match and that was expected since number 1 spot is already secured for Milwaukee so they will likely rest him until the playoffs. It's also a revenge game for Brooklyn while Milwaukee doesn't play for nothing since as I said earlier the number one spot is already locked for them

Yes, Giannis is really amazing and imagine without any turnovers? They are the two players that will likely win this year awards and I think people will simply vote for Harden, because they are also biased. 

I don't know who got the best record in terms of stats between the two, if anyone knows, I would appreciate if they will share here
and also the criteria in choosing the MVP for this season. Let's compute then to determine who will win between this two stars in the NBA.

Stat wise, Harden has an edge against Giannis. But there are voters who look for intangibles in the games. Again, this will be one of the closest, it's a tight race. So it's up to the voters, do they want stat wise hungry MVP that is too soft and choke, or someone young and fresh and bring his team to the number one spot?

What I noticed about Harden is he improved every season but in tough times it's hard for him to carry the team.
This season if he will win the MVP, he needs to prove if he is a real MVP by not choking again.

It takes a few years to build the fan base. Giannis Antetokounmpo   started representing Milwaukee Bucks only a few years ago...and during the initial years he was not a regular in the team.
