This time both teams are healthy again, hopefully there will be no injury in the series so we can make this a long series.

I like Rockets but I cannot underestimate the Jazz, their defense are just so good especially in playoff time.

This is more exciting for me compare to the last year's playoffs. We can see new teams compete with some top tier teams. One thing more is no Lebron right now.

For me, its harder right now to predict who will go to the next round because all of them have unique skills. Maybe the Warriors will win in 5-6 games. Nuggets will dominate the Spurs in my opinion. On the other side, I think the Raptors will win against the Magic in 5-6 games and the Bucks will be having a hard time against the Pistons. Just my opinion

The time has finally come, we have been waiting for the playoffs, let's see what will it be without Lebron James.

I agree. This time, there's no LeBron in the playoffs. But, don't you think that this will make LeBron more aggressive next season? Although I'm considering how old he is next season but I think that he'll just be the aggressive Bron next year but sloppy on the defensive end.

That's not sad because Dirk is already in the retirement age, and his contribution to the team has decrease so they need to let him go.

I agree, the first round of competition looks really solid and it's going to be difficult to predict who will win. Maybe we can see some upsets already in the first round, specially in the West.

Yeah it seems from the age groups of these players in the photo they must of played together in their ncaa days and grew up in the nba league but on opposing teams.
Last time I heard of carmelo was he was getting traded from the knicks but then he feel off the face of the earth.
If healthy I can see him getting traded over the summer to a team rebuilding just like porzingis got the deal with the mavericks even if he was injured and was just a bench warmer for the entire season since being traded from new york.

West selections really hard to predict who's going to move forward to 2nd round, I like to see how Denver will protect their slot Knowing that they're still new to this and they will compete with the best coach the league still have, it will be an interesting match up between talents and perfect executions.

Freaking OKC just avoided 2 of the best with their consecutive wins.
Now they are going to face Portland with a higher chance of winning the 1st round.

I have my own favorite match ups in this 2019 playoffs round 1.

At West it will be Denver against San Antonio.
At East it will be Philadelphia vs Brooklyn.

Even though there have been a good addition for Philly, they should really be careful with this monster young guns of Brooklyn.

I do not think Jazz could stand a chance against Rockets in a 7 game series, I mean rockets have Harden and honestly Jazz doesn't have anyone that could defend harden properly.

It is an equal chance for both teams without harden but someone logical (even a star that is not harden) but sometimes harden destroys teams so much that its not even funny. I think best option for Spurs ever happened, nuggets is definitely a good team but they are inexperienced in playoffs, than comes blazers or okc, which they could still beat, than western conference which will be probably warriors where they will eventually lose .

I still do not think ANYONE can beat warriors, they are just too god damn strong and its not possible for them to lose to anyone. Most exciting one is east, all good 4 teams of east gonna play first rounds with different teams than they all will collide on the second round (hopefully) and it's gonna bee beeeeeassssttt.

I thought it will be OKC vs HOU. Looks like OKC will now have more chances to have a ticket at the second round. Not degrading Portland here just for clarification to their fans, they entered the playoffs, but with the improvement of Paul George the whole season and we all know that Blazers starting center got injured recently, we can speculate what will happen in these series.

Not closing the doors though as we don't know if Blazers will able to pull up more on their sleeves.


Denver vs. San Antonio - it's kind of rare to see that Denver is now on the homecourt advantage. I like Spurs but expecting Denver to go on the second round, new teams, new face indeed. Not just that, want to see if Nuggets can maintained their dominance even on Playoffs. They able to maintained their good record throughout the whole season but that will be different once they faced a same team on a minimum of 4 consecutive games. We all know Spurs always changing gears during playoffs and they are used to play on playoffs environment.

Yes, team are evenly match now, although they are all rank based on their winning percentage, but come playoff time, everything is back to 0.

Western conference are unpredictable and I also doesn't think that there will be sweep. Again as I have said, team in the lower bracket usually perform very well because they want to upset the team seed.

Even die hard Lakers fan didn't think of that. I didn't think of that too. How come a non playoffs team for several seasons will be changed eventually to a top team just because of Lebron James arrival. It's not the LeBron anymore that carry the weak Cavaliers prior transferring to Miamin.

Playoffs is the only expectation for them by majority which didn't happen. There are lots of problems including "personal problems".

But the good thing here is, experienced and chemistry now built. They should now put a strong firepower next season. I will expect that.

Season based, Clippers only managed to defeat the Warriors once in their 4 meetings and that was in OT.

Kevin Durant and Steph Curry's production on that 4 meetings overall is not their usual average, it was below. And because it's playoffs now, just imagined if they meet their averages. This will be a tough path for the Clippers.

The playoffs is in the air, I participated in the prediction pool and I predicted that the only match that will have a sweep as a result
will be the GSW vs the Clippers. I don't know if they can stand with the Warriors, Clippers does not have many scorers unlike the GSW, if they can stop Lou Williams, it will be over, in the inside also, GSW has bigger bigs that will stop their bigs. I don't see they have a chance to at least get 1 win.
