Amen, Kevin, and Alperen all played very well. They also contributed to the scoring, but it wasn't enough for the win. Houston's 8-game winning streak came to an end with this game. Minnesota defeated Houston 132-136. Minnesota stood out as a team. Seven players reached double-digit scores. That was enough for the win. For me, this loss for Houston was a surprise.
Well everyone is fighting for a good spot in the playoff, so even if we say that Houston was in a winning streak, sooner or later it will have to end. And even if Amen have a career high of 41 points, it was not enough for them to overcome the Wolves. And with the lost, Houston was push to 5th place, while the Lakers remain at 4th with their win today against the Phoenix Suns. Yeah, that was bad for them, but the good news is they’re probably going to face the Lakers in the first round. Still not that big of a deal though, it’s probably just the home court advantage that the Lakers will get. ] And LeBron, this man is really turning back time, he’s still goating the game. The Wolves keeps the 6th spot.
Very interesting standings. With that, they’re going to face Denver, and we already know what happened in their last meetings. So now the question is, will this be another upset?

Lebron and company beat the suns although we know the suns team did not play Devin, so its likely they will lost to the Lakers, this is a big break for LA but still their problem is their two key players, luka doubtful to play in the first round and it seems reaves might not also play, so LeBron and the others should play and carry the team to the second round if they want those two to play in the second round, I think that if LeBron carry this team it will be an amazing feat for him, imagine at the age of 41 carrying a team to the second round.

True Alperen and Amen Thompson were clearly the best players on the team. On the other hand, it's going to be difficult for Alperen Şengün to reach that next level unless he starts shooting with higher percentages, as it stands, he’s not that hard to defend. Anyone who spends the whole game battling three people under the rim is bound to run out of gas and that’s exactly what happens to Alperen. he gets tired early because on days when he doesn't trust his shot, he relies too much on forcing tough finishes in the paint.

Houston bench doesn’t contribute much that’s why even Amen scoring 41 while KD and Alperen score double can’t stop Timberwolves with solid bench scoring for them that gave their starter enough rest for a rally on the last quarter. Rockets starter can’t catch a break again Timberwolves bench which is the main reason they collapse in the end. Bench is always the key to win on a close game like this.

Bench is always the key to win on a close game like this.
Minnesota had a great scoring spread, their bench contributed well and it also looks like Edwards is slowly getting his rhythm back. Not as dominant as before yet, but he still scored 22 points in this game, and I think that’s already enough to help bring his confidence back again now that the playoffs are near. And of course we know the Rockets are good, but they’re not unbeatable. I think maybe we underrated the Wolves a bit, especially since they already have more playoff success than the Rockets from past seasons. So better to just chill for now and wait for the real action once the playoffs start.

Conference finals? Haven't you said that they have been beaten by the number 1 team in the East, so how can they go as far as the finals when they will have to go to a lot of good teams in the playoff? The best case scenario for them is to stay healthy and then comeback strong next season. They started this season very bad in the beginning and then at the second half is where they have that good winning stretch and most likely they have build the chemistry already. So it's going to be interesting for them not this season, but onto the next one.

That's why its early to tell, because experience will beat those young talents since Playoffs atmosphere is different from regular season. Yeah they are promising, but maybe those veterans in playoffs will eat those young players in that round. But if they gain good chemistry and have great experience maybe next or in second year also as long as their roster is intact maybe they became more competitive, especially if they develop trust then also good chemistry with their teammates.

While it's true that Lakers did manage to get the win, while nobody expected them to, Lebron was not really that unbelievable. He played good don't get me wrong, 26 points 11 assists and 8 rebounds at age 42? Are you crazy? Nobody in the history could do that.
But at the same time, let's not act like he is that old "let me score 40 points and get the win" Lebron anymore, dude is aging. It was others having not a bad shooting night that made this possible, if teammates did not play well, then he would not be enough by himself.

I won’t verify the history part myself, but I’ll trust that you did your research before posting this. But LeBron... man, I really had doubts about this legend already, yet he still proved me wrong. Then again, it was not against a strong team either. The Suns at that time were Booker and Green-less, if I’m not mistaken. But at the same time, let's not act like he is that old "let me score 40 points and get the win" Lebron anymore, dude is aging. Lebron might not have a bad night but it doesn't guarantee they will win. Like i said, they haven't beaten a strong team yet.

Lakers easily won there game against Suns today by 101-73. The highlight of the game is that LeBron James reached a milestone. Now James is forth player in NBA history to have 12,000 assists in his career. If he continue playing like that he might break record of Jason Kidd (at number third with 12,091 assists) and Chris Paul (at number second with 12,552 assists). LeBron James is also one of oldest player in history of NBA as he is playing his 23rd NBA season.

He is the king for a reason! It's hard not to admire the work he is doing even at the age of 41. I just have a tiny request from him. Just please don't let us watch the miserable Bronny part... He never deserves to play for a team like Lakers for a single second. He doesn't even deserve NBA in the first place! When LeBron leaves by the end of the season Bronny would also say goodbye to NBA permanently - probably.

Jokic will be the first player in history to lead league both in rebounds and assists per game. This is his second year in a row averaging triple double, yet he's not favorite in MVP ladder, seriously? He's also one game short of 65 games bare minimum to be eligible. I think this rule should be no more than 62 games (%75 of 82 games). I understand they prioritize consistency, but should a player who's played 60 amazing games in the league be excluded from MVP consideration or All-NBA teams just because he missed a few games? I think that's unfair.
SGA is not even leading in any stats. IIRC he was the leader in PPG last season, but not this season. The Thunder are still winning games without him. His impact on the team isn't as significant as Jaylen Brown or Cade Cunningham. I just don't understand why SGA is being considered such a big favorite this year.

Well, just gonna be silent on it but I think just because he's not the favorite doesn't mean he'll not be able to win the award. It's just sportsbook are the one that carries the odds that makes the crowd favors it to SGA. Besides, I don't think Jokic probably want that awards he's probably the nonchalant player to not care such stuffs. I think they got their own rules that make SGA the favorite, Steve Nash's MVP claim before was controversial but he get it anyway.

Lakers getting second win in a row, while Rockets losing, feels like there is this reversal that has happened in the last few days. Rockets were looking great and was on a winning streak, whereas Lakers lost a lot of games after Doncic got injured and Reaves got injured as well.
So everyone assumed that the positions would be reversed and we would see Rockets at fourth seed with home court advantage. Not that it's impossible now, it could still in theory happen but looks like it may not happen now.

Just like when Jokic was robbed of his supposed third consecutive MVP, it’s kind of an open secret that race plays some part in it, whether they admit it or not. That was controversial because he was close to winning three straight MVPs, something only three players have achieved in the NBA. If he were American, maybe he would’ve joined that list. Right after that, he won Finals MVP, which makes it feel even more like he was robbed, a slap in their face. Now, these new rules are killing players who actually deserve it more.

I'm curious to see what Charlotte will do in the playoffs. They have a young roster. How far will they go? It wouldn't surprise me if we reached the conference finals.
The problem with other people is that, they saw a team that's been red-hot for weeks, and they forgot the reality that they're just aren't that good enough to compete against the top teams. Charlotte might be red-hot for some time, and TBH it's a bit surprising and they already defeated some top teams of course, but he playoffs is different. Also, they're inexperienced as well, and majority of them don't have any playoff experience as well, and we know how it can be a factor in a series. Conference Finals? Maybe he's from Charlotte as well that's why he said that or maybe he has a bet on it. Whatever the case is, I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THEY'LL BE ELIMINATED ON THE FIRST ROUND. Looking on the good side though, it's good to see Charlotte having some good players right now after being on the bottom for years. What they need now is to develop those players, get better role players, and compete against the teams in the East. If they continue to play like this, they'll clinch the playoffs more often for sure.

I doubt they get far in the playoffs but they have a good young core and will have another year to build on the team chemistry and come out strong next year. And history shows that, Thunder was rebuilding find a good talent, then started strong but they don't have the experienced yet. But they keep on grinding and adjust some, but getting Caruso for defense. And after that, they've won a ring and making SGA the MVP. So that is the blue print that Hornets can utilized. They have a young core and Ball was just about to his prime and so is the team. So it's going to be a entertaining on what they can do next season, keeping the tightness and maybe still getting some role players to boot.

The thunder get all the top talents because of the trades, they just don't get talent or good players, those players are outstanding before being drafted, beside from that OKC still have pack of drafts on their sleeves, they even give away top draft picks because they have a lot, instead of taking the draft they will pass the draft give it to other teams, and get it in the future drafts that's how stack OKC is, while their players are young, they are very talented and be able to adjust immediately, they are still the team to beat in the west, while the east show strong team, they might havea hard time beating the west.
