Not only that his numbers is dropping but because there are some use that he is gambling, but that are remain rumors until now
where did you read that rumor? can you share the source?

but there are shots that we expect him to make like lay-up but he miss, also during their last run the three point and and defense seems to be missing on him, unlike the year they have won the championship seems a little different but maybe because he was injured but still we expect him to play since its an important games, also they lose key players.
Are you referring to MPJ here or DeRozan? Because now I see you're talking about gambling, probably because MPJ's brother was banned from the NBA due to gambling.

Actually, gambling itself is not completely against NBA rules, the serious problem is when a player bets on NBA games, especially games involving himself or his own team.

I think it's not all about the stats that they're going.
The Nuggets just seen him that he can be as good as helper to Jokic and the team.
IMO, they shouldn't traded MPJ since the three have been going around and they have a good connection.
But it's a business, and having him for one year contract is also a good and probably cheap for them.

His value has dropped because his performance has dropped, that's just it. However, if he does well with the Nuggets, I'm sure he can still get a decent contract once it's time to renew. For me, one season to test him is fair enough, so the Nuggets don't have to commit to him for years right away. He's also not getting any younger and he's already past his prime, so that kind of contract is understandable.
All basketball players are like that when they're aging.
And maintaining a good value is hard for all of them and that's why LBJ have planned to invest on his body.
With the Nuggets, I guess that they can end up good for this season and he's got reliable teammates.
So are his teammates are also relying on him.

Are you referring to MPJ here or DeRozan? Because now I see you're talking about gambling, probably because MPJ's brother was banned from the NBA due to gambling.
Possible to be MPJ but I think that he's not going to do the same mistake and falling for the same reason just as his brother.
He's still got a long career in the league and he has to avoid any temptation related to gambling.

I feel like with Klay Thompson on the Miami Heat officially now, all eyes are on Steph to see what he decides to do with the end of his career. Does he play out his contract and join a super team at a discount like LeBron, or does he play out the end of his career on a losing team to show his loyalty like Kobe?

We will never know, it's very hard to speculate. He could be one of those who will remain with one team like the great Kobe or Dirk. However, we didn't see it coming when he broke up with his billion dollar deal with Under Armour. So who knows,

In NBA news,

https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/2091982726593146994

Just too bad that one of their players got injured before the actual season start. There are a lot and big expectations seeing Dame and Ja Morant together with Sharpe.

Felt so bad for the Portland Blazers, I hope this will not be for a long time and this trio can play together soon. Once the 3 players get the rhytm, they need to get the big man stronger and a deeper bench.

Klay is a good addition for the heat as they shooters got traded, Klay will be a big threat along the arc . About Steph, I thought he will be going somewhere like Spurs.

The GSW will do whatever it takes to retain him, even though they are not now the favorites, but this is still with steph if he will join other teams before he retires this is not new in todays NBA because its all business the team sometimes choose to let go players who bring glory to them, while their star head to other team just for a draft picks.
Regarding portland player who got injured its a big blow for them that they are now starting to have a good team some players goes down, players and speedy recovery Sharpe.

The Miami Heat will be paying a huge luxury tax if they ever pursue that. They already have Bam Adebayo at $49 million, Giannis at $58 million, Wiggins at $30 million, Jovic at $16 million, and Portis at $14 million. I don't think they can still make something out of kicking out 2nd-stringers. Forcing it will be like a desperation move, which they don't really need since they already have lots of championship years.

That's why the Knicks really did great in assembling such a good chemistry roster with so many talents too and getting a championship. Not all of them are stars, but they played so hard to claim the championship.
Regarding Steph, I think he will stay as a Warrior.

Klay Thompson has also joined Miami heat by signing a two year contract worth $11.5 million. Klay has joined Miami after his boycott with the Dallas Mavericks that costed him almost $10 million. That is also a good addition because in last three seasons, Thompson has an average of 11.7 points per game and shot 38.3%. Miami Heat finished 10th in Eastern Conference and qualified for play-in for 4th straight season but were eliminated by Charlotte Hornets (127-126) from the playoffs.

Unfortunately Miami management is not the same with Warriors which manage to take a risk and pay huge taxes to help their team to win lots of championship. Their management is so careful doing that, not unless if they know their team is championship ready. Although they have solid roster now, but its not tested yet. Maybe Heat management will observe and will act depends on how their team performs next season.

Also it seems that impossible for Steph to be added on Miami. Also for what I read online, only random people and pages talk about this matters. Then there's no confirmed rumors about this possible trade. For sure Curry would like to stay and retire as a Warrior.

I feel like with Klay Thompson on the Miami Heat officially now, all eyes are on Steph to see what he decides to do with the end of his career. Does he play out his contract and join a super team at a discount like LeBron, or does he play out the end of his career on a losing team to show his loyalty like Kobe?
I said it in the past. August 29th is the date for Steph to either sign an extension or decline it. If he will not sign for an extension on that date, that could become a news because many will make some speculations about it. Something like, he might go to another team after his year in the Warriors to chase his 5th ring. Well if Curry will not sign for an extension this month, he'll still be a Unrestricted Free Agent so the Warriors could still negotiate for an extension even after the season.

TBH, it's hard to think on how Curry thinks of his future. It's hard to think if he's like Kobe or Dirk that's loyal to their team or he thinks like Giannis where he prioritizes winning a title over everything. He's already 38 years old. He's at the post-prime years of his career already. At this point, he doesn't need to prioritize money anymore, but if he prioritizes titles over loyalty, I will not be surprised if next year, we will be seeing him playing on a different jersey, and he might retire there already. Am the only one who thinks that Curry might be retiring on the same year as when Lebron retires? I mean the chances of that happening is low, but what if? Cheesy

Anyway, next year, the Warriors will have lots of cap space with Butler and Green having expiring contracts. Who knows? They might sign an all-star player that would be available during that time, and will give Curry a much lower contract to open up for more all-star players and role players as well.

Does he play out his contract and join a super team at a discount like LeBron, or does he play out the end of his career on a losing team to show his loyalty like Kobe?

Pat is a very cautious guy, he will not throw money unless there is a chance, acquiring giannis is not enough for sure he is just preparing for this season and still not that ready for the championship, but they have a chance, if they are going to beat the top two, in the east they will have the shot.
The knicks players wants another ring, with that players sacrifice their salary to be able to have a shot again, with the current lineup they can compete just make sure they are healthy.

I don’t think he signs an extension. Maybe he will because of loyalty, but the temptation to sign with a contender and get all new partnerships at this stage in his career will be tough to turn down. If he wants another ring and a billion dollar sponsorship deal, he isn’t going to find either staying in Golden State.

Speaking of the Warriors,

https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/2092376356923265215

So Niang and Brandon Williams for them. The same formula as what they did on previous years, get role player for a minimum deal and so how they goes and fit with their system. Niang is a good shooter, will Williams might be their two way like Payton kind of role.

I love the addition of Klay Thompson to Miami. It could become quite an entertaining team with Giannis fighting for the rebounds and sharpshooter Klay standing in the corner for his threes. Probably not enough for a championshiop though, but I feel an Eastern Conference Semi Final should be possible.

Apart from Miami, I will be watching the Sixers the most, cause LeBron keeps my favourite player. The only player who was already playing when I started to follow NBA.

I just want to remind you that Klay is not the Klay in golden state anymore a lot of his arsenals are tone down by the injuries as much as we are excited that level of plays he does now is not the same before, although there are times that he plays better sustaining them is not the same anymore, but he can still hoop, so lets just see if he can still play better this year, and see how can they carry the team, Giannis will be the center of that run so they are going to give him something to push this team to their goal.

Thompson is a nice addition to Miami but I still don't think they can compete for the nba eastern title
If anyone out of the east takes it, you gotta think it's the 76ers

Yeah the east is more stacked than ever. If you look at Philly, Miami, Cleveland and maybe also Boston, then of course the defending champion Knicks, it's really tough to actually decide for a favorite there.
Same with the west having the Nuggets, T'wolfes, Rockets, OKC and the Spurs of course. And then we still have plenty of dark horses.
Guess in the past years we didn't have so many teams that you could actually see in the finals.

Steph Curry just sold his house in the Bay Area for $29.1 million dollars. Does this mean he is leaving? Not in itself, but it isn’t the greatest sign he’s planning to stay either. I still say he plays out his contract and then signs with a contender for way less money to try and get himself another ring.

He is on the Warriors since he was drafted. I bet the question for loyalty should be out of the picture unless the Warriors itself is the one that doesn’t want Curry anymore on the team.

There’s less motivation for Curry to go on other team either to chase championships or money since he already have this.

Lebron is a different case since he is known for jumping to different teams every since.

AFAIK, This house sale happened last May before trading rumor on social media sparked the same way on his marriage problem issue which is proven wrong.

We don’t know exactly what he is thinking. You might be right or wrong with your assumption but based on Curry career then it’s hard for me to see him go on different team.

Ofc, I like to see him go on my favorite team Spurs.  Cheesy
