This is just ridiculous. How can a person fuck up this much?

It's rare but in Crypto, ask Homero "Josh" Garza.
In the Real World,
ask Jared Fogle.

If I embezzled a lot of money I would probably do the same. Especially with Japanese women. lmfao
Only Japanese men are allowed near the local hookers. Dirty gaijin get Koreans or Chinese. Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, its all good to me

"Bitcoin CEO spent stolen funds to buy sex".
First, who gives a shit!
Second (and most important), it's headlines like this that lead people to believe that Bitcoin was created by Mt. Gox. "Bitcoin CEO"...there is no bitcoin CEO. Bitcoin is not a business to be managed. Does "Euro CEO spent stolen funds..." make sense? NO! So why do you write "Bitcoin CEO"?

I posted a comment earlier saying he deserves more time in prison without even knowing this, now I hope he really does get more time.
At least now he won't need to use btc to pay for sex.
Are you serious? You hope he gets more time because he went to a prostitute? That's fucked up! What he spent the money on is irrelevant. It has no bearing on the fraud that he did or didn't commit. By your rationale he should be in jail less time if he used the stolen money to buy a home for his house or food for the homeless!

At least don't call him "Bitcoin CEO". Saying a scammer CEO would be fine for now. He ran a company that indulged in bitcoin and not the whole bitcoin thing.

"Bitcoin CEO" spent his dirty money for good thing. Now he can dream about those days in jail. If I embezzled a lot of money I would probably do the same. Especially with Japanese women. lmfao Only Japanese men are allowed near the local hookers. Dirty gaijin get Koreans or Chinese. That's not true. f you have enough money you can rent the most elite Japanese women. Being a foreigner means nothing, money has ability to open up every door.

Politicians sometimes get in the headlines for using prostitutes, and it doesn't usually do much damage to their political party, or government. The politicians themselves usually have to resign but it's forgotten in a few weeks. I doubt it will do any damage to Bitcoin's reputation, and Karpeles will be forgotten after he is in prison and the 200k remaining MtGox coins are dealt with.

That's funny, I thought he was gay.
I really can't believe he had any type of sexuality whatsoever outside of walking around his apartment with manga figurines stuffed down his y fronts. I guess there is a sexy little something about him, those doe eyes and that silky accent.

After he was cought for multiple allegations with countless evidence, i am surprised that he still bases his stance as not guilty. How can a person do so much harm to both his own company and bitcoin in general, and still have courage to plead not guilty..
The man needs to be cleaned off from everything he owns and lock up in prison for a lifetime. Doubt anyone here still believes that the mt.gox funds were ever stolen by anyone other than Karpeles himself.
He doesn't care about the others anymore, as long as money is still sitting on his side he doesn't need to worry about life anymore It's sad but money controls everything and since he is filthy rich from the money he stole, he can do anything he want including Buying sex with his stolen money Don't forget some of the coins are still missing today and he could be hiding those coins

There is something that people do not really understand. We all live for women, so if you are brave enough to steal tons of people's money you can easily spend a lot on gals.

Yup! I read the article OP must have misunderstand it, as you have said CEO of mt. gox and he's just using bitcoin for transactions that is all, I think many have misread it, since OP's subject is bitcoin CEO! and I have to add up he's one thug dude in using funds that are not his in dirty transaction he's one mess dude.

Well, if you're talking about the European Central Bank then yes that would make sense, that would be Mario Draghi President of the ECB. And also, no, it wouldn't surprise me.
