Hello; i am about to buy an antminer U2 and another U1 (USB), the usb port and the mini usb fan. All that for 25 euros+ sending=35 euros more or less Do you think it is a nice price? I know it will be not profitable at all although i don´t pay for electricity. thanks  |

I suppose your just going to buy it for fun and to see how the whole mining world words for starters, if I'm correct then yes it's a nice start plus it's cheap ... But if your after earning something then you better think twice as it's not going to earn you anything at all  |

I would like to learn about the world of bitcoins. I also found today a gridseed miner for 30 euros, with that i would be able to learn about both bitcoin and litecoin as it is a dualminer... Thats my motivation No you won't as they struggle to do bitcoin and it is pretty old gear. look into a compac stick from germany https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1141518.0easy to run and a good learning tool. |

The compac usb miner has a europe maker. You might check it out. It's in the groupbuy section. But any of these are good at teaching you about mining. And good to play with. The compac will be the most efficient by far. |

I bought 5 U2 sticks over a year and a half ago for a total of $80 including shipping. At the time I bought them, BTC was about $450, so my entire purchase cost 0.185 BTC. That gave me 10GH/s total mining power. My expected return since then is 0.11270157 BTC. So, after over 18 months I've still not made back what I spent on the hardware. I didn't buy them for profit, however. I bought them for fun. For quite some time they've been playing the lottery by solo mining. |

Thans, after all the advice people gave me i think i wont buy the gridseed as it woll fry itself (i dont really care about profitability). And as im interested in mining bitcoins not alcoins i will ahve to continue my search. Thanks for you advice |

If you end up running it 24x7 you will really like the low electricity use of the RPI vs a laptop. It's a little bit more upfront cost but will save you overtime. I highly suggest getting one. |
