This thread was hard to find, i kept downloading the old wallet from the old thread and nearly gave up..How about update the wallet links on the old thread so as to not give newcomers to sprts the shits before they have even begun.

Both threads wallets are the same, both links are the same wallets. SPRTS is A OK for takeoff

There is talk relating to the price in the other Sprout thread, which is still running. So I repeat here: I don't think hyper-inflation is a factor at the moment and there is an inflation brake due to be applied early in the new year. We are still way under 200M. Bitcoin''s rise has affected most altcoins, not just Sprouts. But prices go up and down. I think the problem is that not enough people know about Sprouts. Those that do tend to be keen adherants. Take Thundertoe's thundering endorsement a short while ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1103868.msg12720381#msg12720381 You can't get a better endorsement than that from a top developer of a top coin. I think that the devs are trying too hard. I doubt whether the price will get any lower, but I don't mind too much if it does. Chill out! Spread the word and enjoy the Christmas break.

Any lower and I'll have to buy every bit I see 1 Satoshi 1.69045283 BTC Market Cap for them all *DROOLS I would buy them all, stake them all, and give 2/3rd away to everyone! As far as inflation is concerned, this needs to be a community discussion. I feel that we all could encompass something attainable, without damaging the essence of the coin. Personally, I feel that inflation control is not necessary. Take a look at DOGE. It is #6 on the top markets of crypto. Current market cap: 102,134,206,198 coins / $13,000,000.00 USD. http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/We have to take a look at the long run. A few years down the road. Bitcoin becomes main stream adopted. No one can get their hands on a single bitcoin because the market cap has raised to $10,000,000,000.00 USD. Fractional reserve is now implemented. Each Bitcoin is worth $6,000.00 USD Would you feel whole owning .03 BTC ? No. Now, with 10 million Sprouts @ .00000067 BTC (current price) you would be looking at 6.7 BTC, or $40,000 USD. I am looking at the long run aspect of this all. Bitcoin is scheduled to expand exponentially in 2016. So will Sprouts. The aforementioned scaling can be also thought as 100,000,000 Sprouts @ .00000007 BTC each (assume BTC is $6k by the time hyper inflation would hit) = $42,000.00 USD. Even with Bitcoin half that price (which it most certainly will reach, with USD HYPER INFLATION), you're still looking at at $20,000+ net worth of your coins a few years from now, for a very small investment today. Thoughts?

Can a community member answer this? Thanks! Been trying to point my miner at the wallet and everytime it is about to start mining, the wallet crashes and closes. Only happens with my 200GH/s miners and not my 20GH/s miners. Also, would like to setup a P2Pool for Sprouts but need to know the python network.py file settings for the coin. Here is an example of Bitcoins network.py file settings: import os import platform

Hi guys, can someone tell me how much time take to mature the coin to start to stake? and how much coins i need to have good stake? thanks
It takes 5 days to mature. I recommend getting a block of 800,000 Sprouts or more (more is always better, get 2 Million if you can) to have fast staking and benefit from compounding.

Ok bro, thanks for the info... 800,000 - that's super heavy weight! I've found amounts in the 200,000 to 500,000 range mint quickly after 6 days at '97% probabilities in 24 hours' (see wallet minting tab). I've also had amounts as low as 7,000 minting quickly after 10+ days at an '87% probability of minting after 24 hours'. Whatever the number of days it takes to mint you still get 2% per day for every day taken - 10% for 5 days; 12% for 6 days; 20% for 10 days; and 60% for 30 days, etc. So far, after the 5 day maturation period, I've never failed to mint within a two week period - touch wood!

Don't forget luck, luck always plays a part whether you have little Network weight comparison or a lot, 200K SPRTS in 1 Input Block takes me on average between 7-9 days but luck can make it stake even sooner.

This reminds me of when Netcoin went to 27 sat before going to 600+! There are still lots of good things happening with Sprouts, Cryptsy isn't helping matters, and the Bitcoin price going up is getting a lot of ppl to want to sell. It's kind of the perfect storm for price drop. All I can say is take advantage of it because the price will shoot up hugely once the inflation control is added soon. This is a very active coin with new features in the works and new uses being added. Get it while the gettin is good!

Sprouts really have potential, but we need to make it more usefull, for example create a dice site with investing option, or allow it for buy domains or hosting would be without dhoubt a step forward
Sproutastic!!

The main thing is that the Devs keep up the good work. This coin was a 800 Sats not so long ago ago. The new low price will encourage more to come in with an affordable decent stake. The more that come in, the merrier. Having said that, I will say this - I believe it important that the Dev Team keep their eyes on the ball and give regular updates on progress.

The things that should be priorities right now are:
1. Get on more exchanges
2. Set a date for inflation control with advanced notice, and then make it happen. The supply isn't huge yet, but with the percentage rate of increase it is starting to grow too fast to support the demand. We should reduce staking to no more than 1% per day, but I personally feel it should be closer to 0.5% per day.
3. Create an online marketplace for Sprouts
And yes, I am optimistic for Sprouts because of the community behind it! There are good things to come!
