There is confusion here between bitcointalks.com and btcquick.com. The two sites are (I think) operated by different people. bitcointalks.com is clearly a scam. I don't know anything about btcquick.com.

Correct. I own www.btcQuick.com not bitcointalks.com

My apologies.  Not enough sleep.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

From my investigations, the bitcointalks.com (and mtgix.com etc etc) are probably based in China, and the operators are university students there. Guess that explains why they have so much time to do these scams.  Undecided

They just spammed #bitcoin-otc-foyer
PayPal still showing bitcointalks.org@live.com at the checkout page...

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.
