Hello everyone,

So what is the best today to get a Mastercard for bitcoin ?

No more service is available since Wavecrest story ...

interesting question..

Very interesting indeed. I have some MC prepaid debit cards that were originally funded with crypto. They seem to have stopped working a few days ago, regardless of supplier. All these MC transactions are being rejected since about Thursday, January 11. I assume that MC is making its version of Visa's move on Wavecrest, but time will tell. Anyone else finding this?

On a more cheerful note, Bitwala issued an email to its customers after being caught in the Wavecrest fiasco, saying among other things that they planned to become their own bank and issue their own debit cards.

Never a dull moment in crypto.       Wink

Edit: Good news (I think) - my MC prepaid debit cards that had stopped working a week or so ago are now working fine. I have no idea what the issue was. There does not seem to be any general Net chatter about MC cards not working, so if you can find one you like you may be fine.

Edit: Another update. Some MC cards that worked fine, then stopped working, then started working again - have stopped working permanently. One provider put out a notice that MC had pulled the plug on all virtual cards, as I understand it, although it seems that a few plastic cards still work.

You have Coinsbank cards, I believe It's the only service I haven't seen complaints about yet. A verification might be needed If you want to increase limits.

They serve customers in Europe only afaik, also, according to their site "Named and Virtual cards issuer is Wave Crest Holdings Limited."

https://coinsbank.com/cards-details

No comfort there, I fear.

Hi,

I tried registering with anxpro.com and did submit the documents necessary but never got a response. Are they a scam or are they identity thiefs?

I submit a selfie, id card and proof of residence...

Thanks

bitpay.com cards are also affected by the WaveCrest service cancelation.

bitpay.com cards are also affected by the WaveCrest service cancelation.

Only if you reside in Europe and order a BitPay card. I´ve read
that the cards that they issue to US residents still work flawlessly,
because they are not issued by WaveCrest.

Can a US user of the BitPay debit card confirm/deny this?

Anyone got this email recently??

"Closure of your WaveCrest issued MasterCard prepaid card

Dear Cardholder,

We regret to inform you that from the 27 February 2018, we will no longer be able to service your MyChoice Prepaid Debit Card.  You should, therefore, use up or remove any balance on your card before that date. We will block the loading of new funds to your card effective immediately to help avoid any balance remaining on your card. You will be able to request that any remaining balance on your card after 27 February 2018 be refunded to you in line with the Cardholder Agreement.  Unverified cards must be verified in order to be eligible for a refund. Please note that any funds that remain on your account after this date will continue to be subject to the terms of the Cardholder Agreement (other than as set out in this email).  You can find the Cardholder Terms here.

Please also note that we have taken the decision to set new daily ATM limits to EUR 1000/USD 1000/GBP 800 for transaction inside the SEPA region; transaction outside of SEPA will be limited to EUR 500/USD 500/GBP 400.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you have any questions, please contact us at support15@mychoicecorporate.com."

Thing is, i only have a VISA xapo card and a VIRTUAL mastercard by advcash. So i dont know to what they are refering to. Seems like it should be the advcash one. However few days ago i ordered a mistertango Mastercard too. So could it be this one?? And it ends up shut down before it even arrives to me!!! The title on the wavecrest email mentipns Mastercard, thats why i made it bold. We all knew it closed down all visas, but now mastercards too?

I'm fairly sure Mistertango does not use Wavecrest. I think they use "Hercuscard" - The Card is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd (“WDCS”) pursuant to licence by Mastercard International Inc.

For now I'd assume the notice is not about your new Mistertango card. Good luck in any case.

I've got this same e-mail today. It's for AdvCash card(s).
Indeed Mistertango uses something different from Wavecrest.
When your card arrives, please share your experience (and detailed fee info) with Mistertango.

Actual Fact with Cryptopay.me
In Account 0.0011,FEE to move funds 0.005 ,now the scam part, and dont tell me is not a Scam since They Do Not POST ANYWHERE a User Friendly Warning, the rest of 0.0006 btc can`t be moved, cause Cryptopay asks you to move at least 0.001 from your account.
Tinker Bell question : what happens to my 0.0006?
Here is the chat quote from Yvgeny for their live support:

"Well, the truth is bitter, it will remain in the account until bitter time. There is an alternative, to deposit even more Bitcoins so that a cumulative amount is enough to withdraw. But I don't it makes much financial sense. "

Thank you so much  Undecided Cryptopay.me nice Scam:)

$4.30 xD cryptopay is right. Its pointless to try to withdraw that amount.

I made a successful purchase yesterday with a Mastercard (AdvCash, virtual card), it worked just fine.

The sad part is that I may get a refund from somewhere and the money will arrive onto the not-working-anymore Wirex Wavecrest Visa. Anyone has any experience with that?!

AdvCash service is quite awful. First they misspelled my name on the card (!), and after I ordered it, they sent a notice, that due to some internal problems, my card would expire in 2 months. I'd be wary about these guys.

Your card isnt even made by advcash. It was created by westcrest, and they had the information from your adv profile.
I used advcash since they opened their website, and every single time i had fast response via skype/email/tickets. With a very very proffesional attitude.
