I don't think you want to mix the power from two different sources (hub's) into 1 stick (or anything really). Remember reading something about that, but can't think of the reason why it's bad.
Probably why it's a NO NO, to use 2 different PSU on 1 board on S3's and the like.
I don't think I would have done it anyway, it wouldn't have looked good :p Not only that it would have been quite tricky to support the sticks for fan cooling. A hub does that job perfectly well  . |

You are clearly on a good track zHO. Pools are exceptionally good at determining what share difficulty you should be receiving. Some pools take longer than others to figure this out. I like to be able to make that decision myself.
My problem was that without suggested difficulty, I would be sent 1K shares for 20-40 minutes until the pool recognized how small I am. (bad things can happen in 20- 40 minutes of not returning a share, zadig, usb, libusb and even more unfamiliar stuff).
Now I can ask it to start at an appropriate difficulty, and I will be returning shares in just moments.
Thanks for the info I've just added it to my cgminer .bat file command line. You're right mine used to start with 1k diff and took a while to come down, it now starts at 30 which was about where it settled at before . Good stuff ! That's very clear now, thank you. |

Neither am I. There are 2 prizes though of 1 Gekkoscience Compac stick for most shares and 1 for best share in a 24 hour period using a single stick . I haven't changed the voltage on my sticks just upped the frequency to 300MHz with good cooling and am currently getting about 16GH per stick. I'm pinning my hopes on the best share rather than most shares as I'm sure others have theirs running faster. Had one doing 450MHz + for a short time, before deciding I needed better fan/s (the old would probably have been OK, but want to be sure) and I forget what Gh I was seeing, because it was just a test to check if the hub would handle it and to check the cooling. |

I have to drop my sticks off for a few. Both the standard and donate are coming down, but it will not be a long time as in days or anything. I am upgrading the PC they are all running with. If anything goes wrong I have another PC I can throw them on, but I think a few hours will get me back in without any issues. See ya soon... I hope |
Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.
