If you are used to gamble with bitcoins then try to store them in desktop wallet core and keep your wallet close.Whenever you will feel need to gamble and even will open your wallet but the time for syncing and to be ready to use will make you mode off for playing.Because wallet takes time until it is ready to use for transferring funds.

It is a good advice and if one addicted so much then it is better time to sell all coins instead keeping some. Because if one knows they have still chances to play then they will some how still can continue thats why for permanently stopping gambling just sell all coins and concentrate on some other activities until you forget about gambling.

you can ask gambling sites to ban your ip or you can just invest your coins in moneypot bankroll and lock it for 1-2  months i think those are 2 best solutions.

i suggest printing a paper wallet and just throwing your funds onto there, and pretend you lost it in gambling. and a couple months later treat yourself to some surprise btc.  Cheesy

well i guess you can easily just ban the websites on your computer and you will not be able to access it because of that, its one of the best methods

Yes, but if the gambler has a serious addiction, he could unblock the websites himself. Maybe get someone else to block the site for you, or seek addiction help.

I think the best way to stay away from gambling Is to play addicted games like Dota 2 and league of legends ...
Because online games is for entertaining too. just like in gambling that you play for fun.
You can try few gambling games from facebook that no real money involve...
In this way you can gradually prevent gambling.

Well your first step, is to actually go and get some professional help now that you admitted you have a problem.  What I hear from you is you have no self control and can't actually maintain your money.  Go and get some help, hope everything goes good for you it will be a long process before you are okay.

I know a couple of people that are similar situations where they are addicted to a vice of some sort. However, you need to realize that your addiction is basically an addiction to lose money and understand that is an unhealthy habit. You should probably un-bookmark all of your gambling sites, and even go as far as avoiding the gambling section here on the forum.

Gambling is only fun to the extent that it isn't harmful to your life and your income; once you cross that line it becomes stressful and self-destructive by every definition and you need to address it internally.

If you have a dynamic IP, you cannot be banned that way. Most telecom provides dynamic IP address. It assigns a new address every time you switch on/reset your connection. If you are really addicted, you will reset your connections.

There is no need to stay away from gambling if you really like it. Just give your income to your beloved ones. Ask them to give you small amount of money when you play.

Gambling addiction is nothing to take lightly. Can be as dangerous as any drug out there.

1. remove anything that allows you to access. Smart phones, internet, computers. Lock them away for a few months
2. Express to your family and friends and get them involved. Tell them to check on you a few times a day
3. There are normally gambling addiction hotlines available (Not sure what country you are in)
4. Get out of the house more. Start a sport, fitness or have sex with your girlfriend more often. Get involved with outher peoiple daily and us them as your priority on your time.
5. Request overtime at your job or find a 2nd one. Better to earn money than loose it.
6. Restrict your available income, how ever you paid for gambling before. remove it. Just have access to what you need to get by daily.

As a dice site operator it is not good hearing these stories.
Good to ask here for advice. But the only thing to do is get off your ass up and stay away from a PC or device as long as it takes.
ONCE BEAT. NEVER GO BACK FOR EVEN A LOOK. THATS ALL IT TAKES.

Actually all of that is just mindset. Selling all your coin you can buy it again next time and if you withdraw it in your currency you can also buy it back again but it needs a lot of process when you are withdrawing it so I think this is a good way to control your mind on being addicted again. After withdrawing it you should find something else to do so your mind will not have time to think about gambling again

Yes, I think the best idea is to seek help for your addiction, there are many organizations out there that may help you to quit gambling.

i feel this is the only part addicts of all types have the most trouble with. great example: alcoholics. they always think "hey i've done a good job of staying sober for the last 3 months, ill have myself a beer." of course, something like this usually evolves into a relapse. same with gambling. the joy of doubling whatever you put in with a single click, it just continues until theyre broke and the cycle starts all over again.

you can find something else to occupy your time. it'll keep your mind off it for at least and slowly cut the addiction from there.

Another suggestion from me is to disable these websites in your router, in your firewall or anyother software that you can not access these website (like some apps for family safety)
