The best way is just to control yourself. If it can not then it is difficult.
But maybe you should look for distractions. Go do fun things with the money.
self-control will not mean in gambling. addicts can not control themselves I agree, to control themselves is the best way, than you hear advice from some people, but these suggestions are very difficult to receive. so it all depends on yourself. I know that many people recommend the same thing but the main fact is that a user himself can stop gambling if he is mentally strong and determined. IF a user is asking for ways to stay away, it makes him mentally weak and such users would never be able to get rid of their addiction. They have to themselves find a distraction or need help to get out of it. The problem a lot of the time is the stigma around gambling and the shame of money loss. Comments like the one I bolded just reinforce this issue. Its one thing to say get help but to tell some one they are mentally weak is such a belittling remark and helps no one. Asking for help is the first step in realizing you are out of control. No one should be ashamed to seek it. Gamblers face one of the highest suicide rates and if you can understand why,you are closer to grasping the true nature of the addiction. |

You should just think about what you can lose, and think about friend that did come in problems because of it. There a lot of consequences when you gamble think about them.

Just read a book or watch a movie, go out with friends, visit your family, help others and keep your minds from gambling ;P
hmzz, I think you're still a little hesitant to do gambling. I really understand what you think of it in gambling. Gambling is indeed a scourge which is huge for us who do gambling. But not forever gambling be bad if we always do it. The best way is not to gamble, that is the easiest way to stay away from gambling, as gambling involves huge risk and its never gonna profitable in long term, you should divert your mind to some other things apart from gambling.
Actually this depends on what game that you played, if you play dice game may be you can't profitable in a long run but for poker game you sure have a chance to win it because it is not same as dice game which use luck on it but poker needs some skill and only a little bit luck so you still can control it |

Yes you are indeed correct. If the gambler has lost all his money Surely he will leave the gambling. But if they already have the money Surely he'll do gambling. And if they're already addicted he will do anything for the sake of reaching his ambition to win in gambling. And to cope with it all you have to always think are clear in gambling your ambitions and do not control your thoughts, if your mind is controlled by ambition is certain you will lose your money quickly |

Actually this depends on what game that you played, if you play dice game may be you can't profitable in a long run but for poker game you sure have a chance to win it because it is not same as dice game which use luck on it but poker needs some skill and only a little bit luck so you still can control it In your scenario above mentioning poker as a good choice to be profitable. It actually isn't for 90%-95% of players. Yes it is better than the majority/all of casino games but it is not a safety net for many people as they will lose to sharks all day long. Poker needs a lot of skill, discipline, bankroll management, patience and many more qualities the masses just do not have on tap. |

Start meditating, stop gambling...  That's the best way, as you will get your concentration power improved, which will help you stop doing things you don't want to do... It will break your addiction towards gambling and you will stop visiting those freaking sites which look so well-designed that you get attracted towards them and start playing there... |
