Why is gambling so addicting?

The thrill of winning is very addictive. Like an adrenaline rush.

indeed, temptation for always winning is to hard to controlled and it could make us to become too greedy. but i think if someone can learn from his mistakes and from his losses and not being greedy with his winning, i think playing gambling can not makes that person to become addicting in gambling but it is always hard to do and only few people that can do this with easy.

Off course it is this is was is so addicting. We had competition that was ended yesterday we have to pick highers odd to gain the winning one was over 30 so this was very exacting and intense in same time. Also the game it self like @michaelch mentioned pure rush

There are two different type of gamblers, one type is when he is winning he love to push his luck and the other one is when he is losing he will rage and chase bets. Both are good and should not be done as it would certainly result to gambling addiction.

Actually there are other types aside from what you have stated.  You have forgotten the chill type of gambler where he is controlled his emotion whenever he is winning or losing.   And how come it is good and then should not be done? You got me confused there.  And as I believe it is not getting angry or pushing one's luck that can get you addicted to gambling

If you are feeling that way and you don't want to stop, man you are already addicted with it. And that curiosity will really kill you in the end if you didn't manage to control it. It is not that bad to have some that kind of curiosity but if you are that type of curious with the result and you are going to use your money to gamble, that's a crazy curiosity.

Yeah, this is really happening in other people who really wants to get some profit in a very short time, most especially when they badly needed to have money and they are so desperate to win just to make money, some of them are winning but some of them gets another kind of losing money.

Talking about our chances to win in gambling, I guess there is a chance, but it's slim. Consider that real chances and we will know how to manage ourselves in gambling. By knowing it, we will not be very aggressive, instead, we will think wisely before pulling the trigger.  It's gambling, only smart people win here, forget about the luck as it will just lead you to a trap of losing.

No one actually think that way, only a bunch of kids that actually gamble for the first time actually feel that way. Even when you think that you cant lose by using 98% chance in dice games or even more, there will always be a chance for you to lose and for some bunch of kids they feel that this thing is really impossible

We should learn that gambling is not a way of earning and that's why many gamblers are becoming addicted into because of that. And we know that many experiences that came from gambling resulted into a bad one.

Thats true if you win in first time a big amount of money you will back again to gamble again and they didn't know that they have a first symptom that they have a gambling addiction and they consider gambling as their entertainment.

That is what making those addicted gamblers pursue their goal when gambling and they are just dragging themselves into addiction. So they are being manipulated by gambling and their minds are set on how they will reach that goal that they had set which is to get more profit and win a lot of games when they gamble.

Probably you do not need that as air, it's part of your wants and air is our need. We can live without gambling but we will die without air, see the big difference. it always stop when one day you realize it ruined you life. once you see yourself so much money and time is wasted on it.
i like to gamble as well but not to the point when you have to work hard for the money to gamble it again when you always knew the outcome of it - LOSING.

For me, gambling such as cigarettes or drugs, once tried it will be difficult to stop. I was gambling for entertainment loneliness in my apartment, but when the results do not match expectations, then I feel really addict. Its isnt like cigar or drugs addiction since it wont really affect you physically just like the two things mentioned but gambling addiction would really give huge impact in your life when you let it overcome you in the long run and you are doing the right decision we do gambling just for entertainment without compromising anything.

in those areas where people become disappointed in search day jobs. they start searching for other means of earning money, as gambling seems to be one of the most easiest way of earning money in a short period of time, therefore they start gambling, but when they start it then  they realize the fact that it is not so easy as they were carrying it. and such situations mostly accrue in backward countries where employment ratio is more.

You are right as in that situation the gambler start believing on his skills and he say that yes he can win in gambling he base that believe on some of his winnings. So he continue to gamble and do not care for the loses and wining and do not calculate that how much he lose and how much he win. Just think that one day he will get a big victory and at that day he will become a more wealthy person.

Exactly, the thrill for wanting more is always what drives the addict back those addiction, whatever that might be. We humans just can't have enough, once you taste something good you want more, you become too hooked. The best way is to stop it all of a sudden, then when you get urges to gamble again do it, but come back to restraining yourself, do this periodically once you are bored of it, the urge will not be there anymore.
