Exactly, the thrill for wanting more is always what drives the addict back those addiction, whatever that might be. We humans just can't have enough, once you taste something good you want more, you become too hooked. The best way is to stop it all of a sudden, then when you get urges to gamble again do it, but come back to restraining yourself, do this periodically once you are bored of it, the urge will not be there anymore.

I dont think that the urge to gamble will just dissapear just like that if you have restrain your gambling habit. Gambling is fine unless you know what you are doing and only gamble with what you could afford to lose.
