Charts for all cryptocurrencies, long term with orderbook. There are many alternative cryptocurrencies to bitcoin out there for trading. Some of them are good, some of them are bad (scamcoins). Most of them had a short life. With the charts on this website you are able to see how the prices of the altcoins were going up or down. The volume of each coin shows how big the market is to check if its worth to invest.

Statistics (at 2013-12-18)

CryptoCoinCharts.info is storing 41,094,309 trades of 197 currency pairs, fetched from 24 exchanges.

Total marketcap of all Altcoins (without BTC) is 866,825.00 BTC and the total 24h volume traded with all trading pairs in the cryptocurrency altcoin universe is 1,020,760.00 BTC.

Very nice! Keep up the good work. The only thing I'd note at this time is that vircurex dumped LQC support today, so it's as dead or at least in limbo as I0.

Excellent site.  Very informative and user friendly.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

i am thinking about adding virwox BTC/SLL
SLL is not really a cryptocurrency. do you think there would be a demand for this data?

Absolutely I think there would be demand for it, at least from me. I think a lot of people wonder about how SLL is doing but are too lazy to look into it because its not a cryptocurrency.

Hi xchrix, thanks for your great work!

Is it possible though that the altcoin calculator somehow uses old data?

For example 1 namecoin is listed as being worth 0.02156476 bitcoin - whereas the charts show it's rather close to 0.029...

Any thoughts?

dtuur you were right. i was using avg(price) grouped by pair.. but some of the smaller exchanges are making this calculation wrong. so now i am using the price from the market with the highest volume for each pair (mostly btc-e)

Now it works great, thanks!

One more suggestion, I assume that many people who own altcoins buy them by depositing bitcoins on btc-e for example. And so if they want to calculate profits or losses, it may be useful if there is a field for Bitcoin as well. Even though the amount in BTC will remain the same left and right, it will the users give an easy comparison with the amount of BTC invested. I may be alone with this though.

Now that FTC got into VitCurEx it would be great having FTC/BTC and FTC/LTC from it.

Thanks in Advance!

i have just added feathercoin to the charts (exchanged on vircurex and cryptonit)
FRC will also come to the site exchanged by bter.com but they have to implement an API first

in the orderbook now i am showing volume in the two currencies which are traded. very good information i think. i will try to recalculate everything to bitcoin or even USD to really compare the price movement.

in the last days MANY altcoins joined the game. i have daily added new currencies of the various exchanges. database is growing fast Smiley these are exciting days for altcoins.

Can you please add BitBar (BTB) as well (traded on Bter.com)?
