Nothing is safe if you are stupid.
Bitcoin is what its like... You should check everything twice before you do. Sending bitcoins to someone else? Check the address twice. You are depositing to your paper wallet? Check the address twice. Withdrawing? Check twice.
You usually don't wire your money accidently to an irrevelant person's bank account right? (If you do there is a chance to get it back tho, you still don't want to do that.) Bitcoin is the same.
Virusses, Keyloggers, Trojans. If you are not using a clean system, you are going to get hacked in any case.
If you use the same password in everywhere, you will get hacked, not today maybe but tomorrow.

The question is bitcoin safe isn't hard to answer. because there is just one answer for that and is is not save enough to buy expensive shit. But for small things you can try to use it otherwise i would say use banks of Paypal.

Until our Sun gets fade away, no one can crack the SHA256 algorithm. Only with year 3100's super quantum computer, you may crack it in just 200 years of time. How can you be sure that investing in bitcoins is safe? How? Are you a fortune teller? Can you see the future? As far as I can tell, nothing you invest in is safe. You don't know what happens to the market in a year from now. You can only predict and speculate until that time comes. |

Bitcoin proved that is safe from beginning. People who saw bitcoin first made most profit that is for sure. Even after big spike bitcoin is rising again, and smart people are still earning.
I believe btc is safe and it will be safe in next few years. I don't know what will happen after, I don't like to predict things so far in the future. I hope and work for the best, and time will tell did it worth it.

I agree, if bitcoins is not safe then it would not be alive until now. Bitcoins offers lots of security features than other form of online payments, the best thing is it is also cheap in terms of transaction fee. |

Bitcoins is safe to store and grow money it depends on the person.Just like any online thinhs out there bitcoin can be hacked but it will just be fix because on its securiy.If bitcoins is not safe maybe it will not last like this that he lives for 7years now.They will never freeze your money if you dont done a wrong thing that against the cybercrime law

It is safe for now. No one have ever broke through it. But I dont know in the future. Maybe a genius will come out and will break in to it but I doubt that he or she will share it. That is a breakthrough and many would want to know how he did it.

Watched a youtube video at in news BTCkan app the speaker is Andreas Antonopoulos and he said many have tried hacking the biggest blockchain which is bitcoin and they have all failed. Going to watch more for more information about this safety thing. We want different opinion from different experts.

Bitcoin is pretty safe to use but you have to be aware of hackers and scammers if you know what you are doing then you should be fine. Do not attract unwanted attention some things you have to keep for yourself.

And this, as an ordinary Bitcoin user, I'm not bothered about these hacking trials against the blockchain. The main issue faced by ordinary users is about the security of their own wallet. |

Keeping all your assets in bitcoin is not advisable since its price is ever-changing which might result to a loss. It could be a safe haven for some tax evaders, but creating offshore accounts is way better than tossing your savings into bitcoin for safekeeping.
And in the first place, why the need to ask the question stated in op? o.o It all depends on the regulations on bitcoin in your country.

to be honest everything that is worth money can be considered as an investment and i doubt that bitcoin price might fall a lot in the near future as there are a lot of people interested in it i think that bitcoins are safe to use because the bitcoin technology is impossible to hack it might be unsafe if you use online wallets only as some people might try stealing your money |

Exactly, the most feature of bitcoins that make it safe is due to the fact that it is decentralize, you will not be afraid that any 3rd party will stole your cash, just like when you deposit to a bank, the bank officers can access your funds if they plan to steal from you, but with bitcoins it's completely safe and nobody can take your funds and you can monitor it anytime you want. |
