Are the attacks over and is it safe to transfer coins?
Also are coins stored in Livecoin stuck there?

Coins at Livecoin are safe, they are just frozen at the moment.

The network is still vulnerable to attack until the hashrate improves. For this reason I would still hold off moving coins until Merge-mining is active and we see a healthy hashrate on the network. I will write a much more detailed post in the next couple of days.

Hi,

Upgrading and reindexing doesn't bring up HD-Keys.
Any special advice to achieve this?
maybe dumpwallet -> importwallet?

br,
Andy

Wallets created pre-0.15.0 are not HD wallets. I think the best thing to do if you want an HD wallet is to let Sexcoin create a brand new wallet (which will be HD by default), then send the coins from your old wallet to the new one. This CAN be done by juggling wallets and restarts of the client.

Because HD wallet keys are generated from a base key, importing old keys will not work.

EDIT: You can import old keys, but they will not be part of the HD schema.

Oh of course - the easiest ideas often are the best.
I'll do it that way :-)
Thanks!

Which coin is the other coin that you are now able to merge mine with this? Can it be done with several other coins?

::Update::
We're watching the network and it looks like there may be a fork. Cryptoid is showing different numbers than most of our nodes. According to our nodes we have about 18 - 20 GH/s on the network and the block count is a bit higher.

I would refrain from moving coins around until we can get this resolved.

I think we forked at block #3080345

If anyone knows which pool "SFBYZr5RrXFYNvJAV7vJJEfrVg3U9d2don" or "SHthRm8YK3CJCt65KkEVLLvKGgRrxpk5eY" is , please alert them to the fact that they are mining the wrong chain.

I don't have links for other pools on me at the moment, so can't say for certain, however, from what I've seen myself and findblocks are on what I like to call the main fork.

Cryptopia, iSpace blockminer and prohashing are on what I like to call fork two and have not upgraded their wallets while chainz.cryptoid is on what i like to call fork three which is even further behind the block count than fork main or fork two.

Nova told me directly they have upgraded, I'm just trying to see if the other exchanges (Livecoin, NLexch, thecoin.pw ) have upgraded... and what chain they are on.

Well... yes... here is but one public example of us informing them: https://twitter.com/Timelord2067/status/1078511960004546560 other examples are via emails.

It's unclear from their front page if hash-to-coins.com has upgraded or not (not the least of which is because they last updated their "news" feed six months ago), if you can shed any light on that, feel free to post the info here so we can investigate it.

Informing them has been done. Our past experience has taught us that many times it holds more weight with many pool-ops when users that mine on a pool inform them. This is why we solicit the community ( everyone that reads this thread ) to let your pool-ops know. Link the github repo and also this thread when you tell them.

::Update::

We are seeing more and more adaptation of the new client. This is good news for the network.

We are nearly certain there is a fork, which is being held alive by 0.10.4.x clients. I would encourage everyone to upgrade now, and definitely before sending coins. Almost all 0.10.4.x client are reporting a block height much below the current height.

We have at least two large pools mining auxpow, one is constant and the other periodically jumps in. This is also a good sign. I have been in contact with the pools that have made commitments, and at least two are still working on getting the client installed.

There is an issue which has come up with at least the linux headless client around initial syncing in that it will mysteriously die. We have found this most prevalent on nodes that are slim on RAM. Syncing via bootstrap ( bootstrap ) or adding in a swapfile so you have a total of 4 gigs of RAM+Swap seems to cure this. We are looking into it for a better solution.

EDIT: After the initial sync, the swap file can be turned off.
