Lol.  I hate it when people talk like this.  Just accept that the price is going down for now.  It could continue doing so as it's the current trend or it could flatten out and start going up again, who knows...  But don't give people ideas that this is a good time to get in.

Plus come on guys, so NXT is going down, but so what.  As long as the devs and its community are supporting it does the price really matter?

For a brand new codebase and unending development, as compared to let's say EAC, which is now only 4x as expensive with 2 years of no progress or fixes, it might be  agood deal. Just trying to bring in a bigger picture.

Nxt 2013 train. Nxt 2015 goes down, but you still can't forget that train.

I definitely enjoy NXT, I personally think it will be one of few that stick around and even in the price does go down a bit more I don't care I'll snag some later today and have a bit more forging power.

Unlike other altcoins, there is still active development of NXT. It will die after many other coins even if it dies at all. There are many more NXT than bitcoin, so it is cheaper per unit.

If you compare the features of NXT to most of the alts, it's definitely far more advanced. Of course better technology doesn't mean more demand. I think the NXT community would need some far more advanced marketing too Smiley.

I think it lacks ease of use as their biggest downfall, but this is a part of it being different and not a clone, 99% of coins all run the same type of thing (QT wallet, run and done) but with NXT you need to install java, run a .bat or download the application that runs it and then open a browser to the specific address (I think it is local:1779) this probably is the biggest thing getting in the way to more users trying it out.

Does nobody use jNxt anymore? Or mynxt.info?

Suggestions on how to make these more simpler would be welcome.

Honestly I had been getting into NXT and haven't even heard of these options but if I had I would have been nervous entering my keywords into a live site. What keeps them secure? Can they both Stake? Do they have access to our keywords? Would we know if they changed their structure and did have access to our keywords?

I think the simplest thing would be to try and make an app that looks and feels as similar as possible to the other cookie cutter coins, now I know this would be devolution but it doesn't need to be the main client. QT style application that instantly runs everything in the background and has the option to stake would be so familiar and bring in tons of users, also no login screen with the keywords but an electrum style generate and write down only used for backup.

Essentially I think the key to get more users is make it more like what they're used to even if it seems a step backwards it could easily bring a huge group to adopt it.

Nxt 2013 train. Nxt 2015 goes down, but you still can't forget that train.

And the 2014 train was surprisingly stable in satoshi terms. Long-term range: lows near 5000, highs near 10'000.

But of course, 2014 had to give way to 2015 (sigh).

Living in the past, are we? NXT has developed an impressive amount since then (more than I would have expected) but you're deluding yourself if you think it has a chance of reaching anywhere close to parity with bitcoin, as this thead topic would suggest. There's a reason the price is where it's at.

For what it's worth, I own some NXT and think it's a crying shame that it's worth less than trash like Dash and Doge. Those in charge of NXT aren't trying hard enough. In crypto, bullshit and buzzwords drive price, not fundamentals. Gotta step your game up if you want the price to rise! Take some lessons from eduffield and company. Cheesy
