My understanding is it is due to the difficulty increasing but I'm skeptical because one would expect this to be across the board globally but around a month ago my Genesis mining contracts that was paying .0015 avg. daily for a few months dropped to .00075 avg for a few weeks now down to .0005 daily which is about a 1/3 of what it used to be however my mining contracts with Hashflare and elsewhere did not drop until recently and no where close to the level of Genesis.  I have a support ticket in asking why but of course like everywhere else, they are back logged and I'll likely wait a month to get a response which of course will also likely be generic and not answer my question.

YES! in 9 days my profit changing the pools down from 0.00031959 to 0.00023673, now i'm at 100% antpool and increased from 0.00023673 yesterday to 0.00023673 today.
When i invested again in hashflare these days i calculate a profit of 1.5% a month, but now i recalculate and to my surprise the profit will be 0.7%...and going down to 0.5% a month. I think if i had bought a "antminer s9" with the money i spent in hashflare my profit would be 25% a month with no energy fees and taxes, cause i dont pay light consumtion..

that is why many people don't recommend for invest in cloud mining. besides the difficulty of bitcoin increase every time, we need to wait too long to get the first ROI. I think it is better that we build our own rigs so we can mining in our house but the problem is how much we should pay the electricity fee because in every place is not the same for the fees. the reward that we could get from the cloud mining is too small if we only have small hashrate and if we reinvest again, we need to take a longer time than before. so think with clear before you decide to buy more hashrate.

anyone know why the mining is trending lower?  what causes that?
1) rapidly increasing difficulty due to the sudden popularity of bitcoin mining. The estimator on Hashflare's website does not include difficulty changes.
2) Hashflare maintenance fees are in USD, so when the price of bitcoin goes down, cloud mining becomes unprofitable.

What I earned yesterday with 22,5 TH/s:

SHA-256 payout (BTC) -->0.00280466 (39.44$)
SHA-256 maintenance (BTC) -->0.000567 (7.97$)
===========================
Result: 0.00223766 (31.47$)

0.00280466 --> 100%
0.00223766 --> X
================
X=79,78%

So... they charged me a 20,21% maintenance fee?? Are you kidding me??. Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

EDIT: LoL, a friend posted on Hashflare.io´s facebook, that how could they be charging a 20% maintenance fee, and they blocked him!!!!!!! LOL
This company looks like it´s just scam. Increased prices and now also charging a 20% maintenance fee??.

Amazing

The same happens to me.
With sinking BTC-prices the 0,0035$ per 10GH maintenance fee ( which is calculated in BTC) rises.
My problem is however why the payout (from which the fee is to be subtracted) declines over time.

In only 12 days my daily average lowered (from first 4 payouts) by about 15%
And the daily payouts are declining daily. As for now, I reached 88% of the daily average.
If this trend goes on, by the end of contract I could have easily put the money in mainstream coins and let it sit there til mooning or regular rise.

The problem is that after one day I made an additional purchase which is stil pending.
The payment in BTC came through after several hours and since then it sits there unspent.
I wrote a ticket much too late (4 days after) since I believed with solving their web issues my will be solved too. Now I reached day 10 of waiting for their reply.
All this hassle. I should have put my bet on Genesis Mining. I didn't since I don't trust altcoins to rise from ashes like Bitcoin did so many times.

35 cents USD per 1 TH, so in your case, .35 x 22.5 = $7.875 which is then deducted in BTC from your daily Revenue.

I suppose you mean 35 cents / 1 TH not 10 TH

Ouch..... Sad And those 35 cents / 1 TH are going to be decreased when BTC increases or not?

oskuro83 - You have it right, thanks for catching my misprint! I'll fixed the post.

My understanding is the maintenance fee is calculated in usd, then deducted in btc at the current rate.

From hashflare web site:

"Maintenance fee: 0.0035 $ / 10 GH/s / 24h"

Oh ok, thanks!!

So that would be 0.00035$ / 1 GH/s.

So... my 22,5 TH/s would be...

0.00035 x 22000,5 = 7,70$ maintenance fee more or less

If that´s the case, I hope BTC increases price, because daily maintenance fee, will be always the same, according to that info
