Greek, I don't exactly agree with you about the moderators but I haven't had much interaction with them in the time I've been here. I do think that this forum is like the Wild West, anything can happen.it's good and bad, in unequal parts. I wish you luck in the new forum. I do think it's a good idea.

A: No. We don't have enough time to check every single piece of information and verify the validity of the sources. Also, just like scams - too much room for bias and abuse.

However, trolling isn't allowed. If a user is habitually posting obviously false nonsense just to stir up trouble, then it's considered trolling, which is prohibited. Such cases should be thoroughly documented in the report though (There are tons of reports that just say "trolling", but moderators don't have time to look through each user's post).

Q: Someone insulted me. Why aren't you deleting his post/thread?
A: Possible (since we don't have the time or resources to check) insults are also allowed as long as they contain any kind of constructive opinion, info or something else substantial and aren't off-topic. For example, posting something like "you are dumb" will be deleted as it contains no meaningful content. However, if the post is somehwere along the lines of "You are dumb. This is wrong because this website/thread/etc. has explained it's not right", it's in most cases accepted.

Thanks for proving my point that the issue here is you have a problem with me not vice versa. You seem to be kinda obsessed creating all these threads about me especially after you just said you had enough threads in Meta. I suggest you take your own advice and be the bigger man and put me on ignore (and actually do it this time) and just get on with your business and neither of us has to communicate with each other again (as long as you put threads in the correct sub).  I'm really not sure what you're even still doing here since you find this forum so unusable and toxic but yet are still trying to provoke reactions from people you don't even want to interact with so that's more like trolling to me. I suggest you get on with your business and I'll get on with mine.

If you have a problem with me, you shouldn't be clicking on mine as well. I stay away from your posts consistently. It is you who seeks issues with me.


Plus, insults should be seen as trolling because you're saying something that's purposely offensive in order to provoke an angry or offended reaction, which would be the definition of trolling according to Google if I am not mistaken. Whether or not you find insults okay, insulting people over the internet is genuinely unprofessional, proving that the staff does not understand what a professional forum looks like.

I can make sure that when my forum comes out, insulting people will definitely not be allowed. There's a difference between constructive criticism and insulting people. One of which is professional feedback while the other is childishly throwing cheap shots to belittle another human being.

I felt my threads were marked accordingly. They could have been in either project development or the Bitcoin Discussion forum.


Both my threads had both Project development and Bitcoin Discussion characteristics for it to have the label of either a Bitcoin Discussion post, or a project development one. I am done with arguing that with you. The threads are in project development now, so let's put that aside. I do greatly apologize for the fact that we have personal issues, because you have created those personal issues. If it is true that you get "paid" to do what you do, that doesn't qualify that what you're doing is justified or completely helpful to the contribution of this forum, let alone the rest of the Bitcoin community. Snooki gets paid to get drunk and arrested on television, but that doesn't mean what she's doing is beneficial to society. With that in mind, try not to find self glorification and righteousness just because there's a possibly (that I don't believe) you get paid to do what you do here.

This is not true. If someone on your ignore list posts in a thread you have on your watchlist then the thread will show up on your watchlist however when you view the thread what they post will not be visible to you unless it gets quoted.

I think you are probably upset that you have a negative trust for being an alt of puzzel.me and is attempting to troll hilarious until he gets removed from a moderator and/or removed from DT. Many scammers have attempted to do this to me, although only one scammer was successful, but only after extreme stalking and a mistake on my end.

OP i dont see a problem with this, moderators have too much on their plate to think about simple things such as insult, the site is actually ran professionally, check out the admin team at hackforums.net they ban people for foolishness like this but they are in no way, shape or form professional

Trolling in a forum is here to stay and it actually depends on how you define trolling, some may take it as a joke and just laugh about it but some may take it seriously and consider it as trolling. If you don't like the post just move on, it doesn't make you a less person by just ignoring a trollers post.

I do understand where you're coming from. On a more tolerable and user-friendly view, I do not. I would take unprofessional and rude behavior somewhat seriously in terms of making the site look more clean. If you condone insults, that's fine. You can stay here. To whomever doesn't condone it, they can hopefully join my forum when it is genuinely available. As I said in my link in the OP, I am not shaming the forum or the way it's being operated.

That is your opinion, and I'll respect it. Therefore, the same should be done for my opinion. You're your own person, and I'm my own person. People will naturally not see eye to eye because of the different backgrounds. It is quite simple, really.

I will be very surprised if this forum lasts longer than a few months. Without anything other than work it will become very boring very quickly, providing a safe haven to every special snowflake that needs it won't change that. If people can't handle being told they're incorrect and throw a tantrum every time they don't deserve to have items such as a computer and internet access. Perhaps a rattle and a sandpit would be better suited.
Not belittling you or whatever, just stating my opinion. I expect that I am on your ignore list anyway, so unless the ignore feature magically breaks again like it has with hilarious several times you won't see this.
