100 BTC? 0.00000001 BTC? Nah... extremes are not for me.
What do you guys think?
No way man, too early for your dreams. Maybe we are talking here about 2070.. if btc survive until then, if world survive until then. Steady rise is the best rise. This is to optimistic, if something like this can happen then its good to sell everything u have and buy btc...to good to be real. I hope for 1000 $ in next few years, but not just to reach it also to stay on it!

It's not about optimism. You either think that the protocol will have an astronomical value by 2030 or that it will have almost NO value - price will be something along those lines. Either massive price or close to zero. There is no scenario in which BTC can stay around a few hundred of a few thousand dollars in 2030 - either there is massive adoption or the protocol will be insecure at low valuations. If people don't get this, then they don't understand how the code works and how the protocol will scale over time (or they don't believe it CAN scale). If you don't think it can scale or don't think it will be adopted, you must sell - because you are saying you think the price will trend towards zero. If not 100,000 (which = massive adoption on a world wide scale), then at least well over 10,000 is more or less NEEDED. I think the "winner" in this space will have a market cap of trillions, so, yes, I am optimistic about the future of some crypto system. I hope BTC is that system. If BTC is still alive (I think it will be) - then in 2030, usage should be such that the value of each unit (coin) is over 100,000 dollars. So, yes.
With 250,000,000 users or with a decent IoT utilization, the value would be astronomical.
You are way too optimistic. I can't think of a reason why some one will think in terms of $100,000 per coin while we still haven't seen the price touch $1000 or $10,000. It's nice dreaming and having a fantasy about what you like to see, but you also need to have at least some reality in mind.

I don't think so, but I believe one thing. In future people who doesn't own a bitcoin may consider people with few number of bitcoins as rich person. These days itself someone joining new to bitcoin think people already here were very rich seeing the price of bitcoin.

These are the kinds of quotes I'm talking about... lol. Triple your money in 2030? LOL. You just don't understand what you've invested into (if you invested at all). Period. Becoming a millionare with 10 BTC, I don't think so. Maybe you will triple your money. But no way you will become a millionaire.

Lol...I totally agree. Either btc in 16 years is worth WAY more than 3 times what it is now or there was a serious problem along the way.

I would venture to believe no, as that would be 100k a coin. Outlook is slim for that in 15 years

I come here every time hoping for insightful comments, only to be bombarded by a bunch of idiots who are hoping bitcoin goes up by about 5% in 50 years. I must be a masochist.

Humans don't deal well with exponentials... most people don't understand how these types of networks scale (if they ever do) and what that means to the value of the system in question. The question is really - WILL BTC SURVIVE or NOT. If answer = yes / PRICE = gigantic If answer = no / PRICE = trend towards zero The % that you place on the above should tell you how much you should risk in today's Dollars. I think we are getting close to 50-50% that BTC will survive long term. I make investments accordingly. If someone else thinks the number is 10%, then invest accordingly; if another thinks 95% then, invest accordingly. So on and so forth. Lastly, most people on these forums have much less than 1 bitcoin total. It's not about optimism. You either think that the protocol will have an astronomical value by 2030 or that it will have almost NO value - price will be something along those lines. Either massive price or close to zero. That's too far ahead to tell really. If BTC survives up to that time, it is probable that 10 BTC will be worth a great ammount.

I doubt it will ever get to 1000 again. My bet is that will always hover arround 300 to 400 and spike to 1000 once in while. Last spike was to 500.

Yeah honestly I don't see the price going back to 1200 again. reaching 600 can be called a miracle.
