Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets?

I would say to not have all their bitcoins in one place at one given time. That is just not a sensible thing to do now a days with wallets being hacked into all the time.
I would not keep a large amount in one wallet either, that is just asking to be robbed and losing it all.

People should know by now that several wallets is for anonymity. I feel as that the author of this thread might have already somewhat realized it.

Well I have at least 2 Bitcoin wallets, is because if something happens to my other wallet than I have the other one that is still good.
Is just for safety porpuse that in the future my wallets are still fine.

I also prefer to have several wallets and its much better and safer as well in order to use the one if other have issues for certain reason. I do agree with having multiple wallets.

I have several wallets too because its safe to keep multiple wallets but need to get track of it of every thing.

it's a normal guys, everyone trying to search perfect wallet, then he try to using all of "new wallet system" , now i found more people using xapo and coinbase, because the wallet is very simple, also the zero fee make everyone confidence but he could not feel the working system of bitcoin...

That is why I use those wallets because of the zero fees when using them. It makes it more convenient when you have a lot of small transactions going out. They tend to add up when you have multiple sends going out at the same time.

People are using many wallets because they do not want to get be a victim of hackers, for bitcoin the wallet is very important of course because you store your btc in it.
If you really want to be secure, mostly with high values you better can make a paper wallet if you are smart.

i think have more than 1 wallet is for farming. U know calm? Yes like calms give (i forget but maybe worth 10$ btc) to old wallet on blockchain.

It can be used for farming purposes such as giveaways, but the biggest reason for having several wallet addresses is purely security and anonymity.

yeah agree. A wallet may be compromised, if you only use one wallet, of course all of your money will be lost, or maybe if you lose the authentication and only has one wallet. of course it would be very troublesome

Agreed, I think you gave a valid reason why people using so many wallets, this is also my habit to find and try new wallets which secure and easy to use. I believe this would be an endless search and new innovative wallets also will keep on coming always.

in my exprience why do people use so many bitcoin wallets, as for me i just want to try new wallet, and compare which are the best wallet, some wallet is suitable for me like coinbase for stored my spendable bitcoin ,blockchain for much bitcoin i think,and also paper wallet for long term investment, etc

I jus have two wallets. I guess because of hackers and security issue people might try several wallets to keep bitcoins safe

I personally use paper wallets to keep my coins secure for a long time, i use a desktop wallet to keep a couple hundred dollars worth of bitcoin, and an android wallet just in case i ever need to buy something using bitcoin in a shop.

yes I also think to recommend using some wallets may be 2 or 3. it could assist in security. but if we use authentication to third-wallet. of course it will make a complicated. right ?

In most of the cases, if you are using mainly a web based wallet it's really a good practice to have a multiple wallets.

It's no harm to trust those web wallets today but trust is not enough to make your coins secured.

Yes and it's reasonable to have a traits like that.

But most of the easy transactions and a less hassle are done with web wallets so somehow we can trust them. Just don't store too much coins in web wallets and just use it for a quick transactions.

A lot of people are using so much wallets for the security they want, if you now get hacked you will not lose all your bitcoins at once.
I think its a pretty good secure measurement, but you should also can make a paper wallet to be better secured.

but the minimum transaction is 10.000 satosi, someday i try submit 50.000 but the transaction could not be processed
anyway im use blockchain too for very low transaction with fee 4k-5k satosi

I use a lot of wallets from different producers because I like to try them out. Besides if you wanna keep your coins private, you will want to have multiple addresses.

I think they are just want to save their bitcoin for safe wallet.. or they want to save their bitcoins o every wallet they want.. so that if the one of the wallet is scam you have a reserve bitcoin in another wallet..
Also i thought that they are using many wallet because they want to be anonymous and use other wallet to use it or spend purposes and receiving purposes..
