Each wallet has an advantage of it's own IMO, I am using blockchain for fast transactions and multibit for saving bitcoins in my device.

Well I hold multiple wallets for several purposes.
A trading wallet
A savings wallet
A wallet for spendings and deposits
It's not very much, but it makes things easier to track.
I think you do not need to make a lot of wallets. for a specific function. you can directly use another address in one wallet. and add information in the address. it will be easier and simpler but save in a few wallet was better and to avoid losing in one day when you are there at one bitcoin wallet. at least not lose everything. |

I wonder about that as well, I seen people using 5 or 6 PC wallets and I think just one would do... Also seen people with thousands of addresses although 3-4 should be enough.

Everyone finds something they like with each wallet and I think it is fine to use multiple wallets if you find good things with each wallet. Wallets have specific advantages for each...

these days lots of people get interested in hacking and try to steal others bitcoins. So to be on the safer
side people prefer various online and offline wallets which makes them feel their bitcoins are really safe.

I think even though we have many bitcoin wallet if it is stolen coin is there still be taken and can not go back. Maybe we have to be careful to keep bitcoin to be safe. And I think some of the bitcoin wallet already have good security. |

The reason behind using more than one wallet is diversification which may save someone from loosing all his/her bitcoin.
It's a wise idea and it's always better to to use at least 3 wallets where the amount can be divided and kept safe. So if one wallet become scam, that person will be able to survive some of its coin.
I myself use one desktop wallet and two online wallets.

Why did you make that much bitcoin wallet? Does every bitcoin wallet will store income from a different place or what? According to my store bitcoin in many places does not affect anything for security. |

So want that to be anonymous way. This is the exact reason. |

Luckily I am already doing that, but not intentionally. I love trying new wallets but when moves to new one I back up old one and put in offline. I still in search of features rich wallet which makes me trying out new wallets. |

ex. When you only have 1 wallet and got hack and all your funds are there so there will no left for you instead if you have 2 or 3 more wallets you can divide your funds in there

like you Im using some wallet too, electrum wallet(Pc+anroid), mycellium wallet (android), coinbase web based, xapo at web based and android , and the paper wallet. use many wallets is good for security, I have bad experience with blockchain.info, now im leave it. |

Actually the ppl who use most bitcoin address is the exchanges, bitcoin startups who always creates new address for deposits, then transfer out the deposits.

There can be a huge wallet hack and even if you have good security, you might lose everything. |

It is very good to use. And it is also very safe and secure and I think that is the most important. That it must be very safe.
Some people around me dont even trust Bitcoin and that is the problem. I hope that more people will use it later in the future.
