Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets?

Just wondering why people use so many Bitcoin wallets.

Some of the member here they used multiple wallet maybe because they want to put their coins safely than to any other place. Even me I also used multiple bitcoin wallet to secure it wisely. And I think its the right decision for me at all.

but i don't think using multiple wallets is going to bring any more safety than using just one cold storage wallet can bring to you!

i have made myself a good cold storage and i am keeping it safe and i think that is more than enough

No matter what, once per week I send the wallet.dat files from the two software wallets to a secure storage place, in case of a PC issue. I have more, and those are kinda of forced on you.

Keeping track of it all can be fun, but it is worth it.

Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets?possible to take giveaway,usually many people use more than one bitcoin address it to take giveaway
but it does not much like it,but I use more than one address only to send send only,because I save my bitcoin in blockchain to Coinbase and others

if you're talking about giveaway here,the address is just for sending the prize while actually if you're having many wallet but still using one account it mean you will only get one giveaway,so having many wallet have nothing to do with the giveaway thing

yes i think if for the giveaway you do not must have a lot of wallets. one wallet could make a lot of addresses.
but for me to use many wallets, to avoid from hackers and also avoid interference from other wallets. when I was in desperate need.

I do have more than one,but my bitcoin wallet very safe.
because I have a lot of exchange account so I have many bitcoin address.

I wasnt aware they did.  I only use 2. One on my pc and one on my phone.

I guess they have their own reasons for that. they may use it for various purposes such as online business or trading altcoin. Well, I own currently has two wallet on a different site, I use it for online business and storage separately bitcoin

The news spread that they have already been hacked few years ago and they just knew it now as they want to sell it. The thing is many people now are getting good with computers and can make applications that can hack accounts faster than you expect it. Just one visit in a website can change it all.

Im not saying bitcoin wallet is not the safest most but its
for security reason that user may have a back up of bitcoin
account. Were if they earn in different investment, they can
have it place or store in different bitcoin wallets.

Because it is only allowed to have one wallet in one account, if you only use one wallet and you have two account that has the same bitcoin wallet and you're in a signature campaign I'm afraid you will get some trouble about it if someone will get an screen shot for it and report it to the admin of that signature campaign. That is the reason why do people use many bitcoin wallets. In order to not to be banned or kick you better follow this rule.

There are some coins that are only on Polo and some that are only on another exchange, meaning that you can either TX in and out the Bitcoins to trade there, or leave some BTC there for future trades.

It's very easy to answer that people using bitcoin wallet it just because they using bitcoins and they using bitcoin as currency also to do some activities like doing some trading , investing and many more if you people are using banks then you using bitcoins then thats too hard for ya

I use XAPO. They allow me to create multiple wallets. I not understand what is the purpose for this.

I think not make them safe. the possibility of stolen will remain the same, but the chances of all your money will be stolen has narrowed. because you have divided your bitcoin to many wallet so when your wallet hack you will not lose all of your bitcoin

That is the main reason for having multiple wallets, as it will surely minimize your risk of loosing them but its only smart to have multiple wallets if you have higher amount of coins or else one wallet would be enough.
