Hello i am new here,

so i have to give a post here that i can comment other Topics?

lol, what a necro..

btw when are these guys coming back?

Never, they are currently fighting a federal class action lawsuit.  Somehow their CEO @charlieshrem is still out and about - apparently they have avoided a criminal indictment for now - but I don't see Bitinstant itself ever coming back.  Since they have a potentially very large judgment coming down the pipeline, at best they would transfer any intellectual property they had to a different corporate entity and start under a new name.  Starting with no reputation is better than starting with a bad reputation.

Actually, we are.

We've been working on our relaunch the past few months, and looking to get things up and running in Q1 2014

While I can't comment on the lawsuit, I will say it's not even certified nor a class action yet. Its 2 guys and 1 girl (total amount is less then $1000) who are threatening a lawsuit. This is not something stopping BitInstant from relaunching.

I've showed screenshots and demos of our new site at a few conferences, including London, Argentina and Atlanta.

For the past few months, I have been working on Bitcoin Foundation and have brought together many communities including Canada, Argentina and Australia.

See my holiday message: bitcoinmagazine.com/9182/word-bitinstant-ceo-bitcoin-evangelist-charlie-shrem/

If anyone is owed any money, please PM me right away. As far as we know, everyone has been paid back, but if not Im happy to help

Just an update.  As I predicted nearly a year ago (though I thought it would be for different reasons) Charlie Shrem, Bitinstant CEO, was arrested yesterday (Sunday 1/26/14) for using Bitinstant as drug money laundering machine.  The Bitinstant website is now completely blank.

I actually have an issue of missing coins dating back to Feb of 2013, and despite all the real life hassles he has going on, Charlie has gone out of his way to ensure my problem was addressed now. I can't help but respect that.

I shouldn't have spoken so soon. I should have known. Another 2 months gone by with no response or update. Tried sending them an email once or twice during these months and they were ignored. I am forced to seek other avenues to recoup my losses with Bitinstant. Shame that it had to turn out this way, I actually supported Charlie previously and had hoped this would be resolved. I was sorely mistaken.

You mean the guy you forwarded my email onto when we first spoke? I wrote you and him when i sent emails asking for the status of this. So he has received at least 2 emails from me, and the original you forwarded onto him, and I have received no response from any of them.

Must be nice to just sever ties and wash your hands of responsibility. Meanwhile, customers who trusted in you are getting fucked over. I take back all the cordial and supportive things I said to you in our private messages. You are just another one in a long line of early adopters who are completely irresponsible and selfish.

Yeh I forwarded him your emails and asked him to look into it dozens of times, Ill try again.

The issue is, I no longer have access to the companies financials nor the servers. Id love to refund you, but because of the investigation Im completely shut out.

Why did you wait over a year to ask us about this? Not saying its your fault, but if this was brought to our attention a few months earlier it could have been taken care of by myself.

Please don't make this personal, it will get you nowhere, Im trying to help.

I didn't wait almost a year. I posted all through that thread asking where my coins were. I've sent PMs here, emails to Bitinstant, and have spoken to roughly 4 other bitinstant support people since this occurred. I almost forgot about it completely until I started consolidating accounts in December and remembered I had never been made whole on this. Again, personal attacks aside, this happened on your watch, and you are every bit responsible for it. If I don't have promises in writing very soon or my coins sent, I will take this to court. It will be a hassle for me, but it's necessary in this case.

Your move.

This company was amazing when it was around. Hopefully it returns but with the negative publicity I highly doubt it.

What other information do you need? You say yourself you have my order number still. Please let me know what you need from me, if you're honestly going to try and help me out this time. If this is going to be another song and dance for a couple more months - i'll pass and take the judicial approach.

Hey, see what I said before. I dont have access to the database nor financials. An Order ID does not help me at all. I need all the information, what kind of order, what type, all the emails that were sent, ect, ect.

This is me trying to help you out although Im not part of the company.

So where the hell is the money I sent to Bitinstant?

Why has it not been returned to me?

This forum suggests the company is legit. Allowing me to make the transaction, taking payment and not communicating or returning the funds does not sound all that legit to me!

Apologies...upon closer inspection the company I have dealt with is Btcinstant - clearly employing the good name of bitinstant for its own devious uses. Btcinstant are clearly scammers.

Perhaps open a scam accusation against them in the category: "scam accusations"
