I think the price of bitcoin will not affect the fiat. Even the price of bitcoin reach $100,000, the fiat still the same. But itf the bitcoin price is $10,000 or more, it will attract more people to use bitcoin, because it's really high price for a coin and maybe fiat user will change into bitcoin.

If 10.000 US dollars are worth 1 Bitcoin, how exactly are they worthless? This isn't a matter of opinion, it's a matter of common sense.
Thats a great point. How come fiat or dollars becomes useless where in fact the value of bitcoin is $10,000 dollars. It simply means that bitcoins value is based on dollar and that bitcoin is still backed up by dollar. If there will be no fiat currency or dollar currency then we are no longer going to mention dollars in the first place. Only if bitcoin becomes independent of fiat currency and becomes a legal tender thats the time that fiat currency will be worthless. Bitcoin its based not backed by any currencie, we do have bitcoin against any currencie as well any crypto coin, sure the most used pair is usd/btc, but bitcoin is free there is nothing behind it, if bitcoin reach such ammount over the next years, the most people will try to exchange into fiat, soo doesnt matter how much value bitcoin may reach or have it will need fiat, since you cant spend yet bitcoin directly into the most places, if those changes one day, it might make fiat worthless.

Okay I agree if bitcoin price is $10000 will not affect the fiat, because $10000 is still low. In my opinion bitcoin needs reach $10.000.000 to able to affect fiat, because amount of fiat is really much.

It would not surprise me if the value of bitcoin exceeds the $ 10,000. The value of a currency, as any object is based on supply and demand, agrees. Except that demand, from year to year increases but not way Queers. More and more people get their information, but are reluctant to take the plunge. But as soon as they have taken this step, they can no longer live without, look at you, me, us. What it lacks in the bitcoin is the ease it is to "popularize". Because say to future users, "wai bah need you the private key, the public key, but knowing that your portfolio is a HD, so you can keep the seed for the signature". It's complicated for the common, I think we need to rethink this great technology to common access. The success of windows (or other) was undercover access to computing... but to whom? To nerds? No, to the general public! That day, the bitcoin will have interest for a lot of world, and as bitcoins are rare at the moment... so its price will increase naturally. It does not matter whether the price of the bitcoin is 100 or 10000, the thing is people are using fiat in their lives and so do we have to because that is what the word is used to, and as long as the fiat exists and people are using it instead of bitcoin that the fiat will always be worth it, and we cannot change that no matter how expensive the bitcoin is.

Bitcoin would gain a lot of publicity. However, as you yourself said, the price of the fiat would not suffer a significant impact. Maybe when Bitcoin has a much larger user base, and a broad market adopting the currency, then I think that dollar and many other fiat currency could suffer a more significant impact.

fiat can be used as a sidechain. Except for places where the currency is complete garbage, Argentina, Venezula, or Zimbabwe. Do you really want to put money in the bank so type As can spend it and then declare bankruptcy.

I agree with you all fiat/paper money will become garbage in the future. I am sure that fiat will be replaced by something better and appropriate for us. I think fiat system is bad for us now.

Yes it is not perfect and primarily provides incomes of rich people

I fully agree. I think and truly believe that fiat money will still exist. we all know that can not be controlled so that bitcoin might not replace fiat money. regardless of bitcoin prices will not necessarily affect the fiat money, because it will continue to be used.

Fiat money devaluation depends on the economy of a certain country, hence we can see now that there are countries where their currencies are stronger than the other currency and that reflects on their economic status. Bitcoin is solely base on supply and demand and it does not rely well base on the performance of a certain currency, the estimated number of users is the living evidence.

It is basically the same in respect to the Chinese Yuan since the majority of bitcoins are traded at Chinese exchanges for Renminbi. The estimated number of users is irrelevant as such, it is users that are actively buying and selling Bitcoin that affect the price (i.e. making up supply and demand). Those who bought and now hoard no longer play a role (they had their say when they bought some bitcoins) until they decide to cash out, obviously

No. $1 would be worth 1/10.000th of a Bitcoin.

that is right. bitcoin market cap is tiny, probably around 0.1% while fiat marketcap can be 5% or even 30%. so it does not make sense that bitcoin price of $10,000 will affect fiat. but I do not know whether it will affect fiat when the price is $100,000

That's plausible to happen as the price of bitcoin is going to keep on increasing fiat will remain. And for sure people who are really going to be amazed with the price of bitcoin if that happens will adopt it instantly and hoping to earn 1 bitcoin hardly. Fiat will not be worthless but yes, it will going to attract a lot of new people and users.

Not really user that we are going to attract when the price of bitcoin is worth $10,000 but people who wants to take advantage of its price... Most of them will be for the profit even if they really don't know what bitcoin is, as long as they could earn from this... Later on they will still be cashing out to fiat... World adoption of bitcoin won't happen that easy and not even when the price reached $10,000, it will take time before the world learn to like bitcoin.
