I wish I did have some plans to celebrate the halving of bitcoin, but I don't know that many people that have bitcoin. So I can't host a party.

You may be right, but the real party that is going to be organized in 2016 or 2017 after the halving consequence. The out come of party will be a clear-cut proof of the tremendous work bitcoin had done in such short span of time and a proof of its world wide acceptance by its users.

Do you have any plans for the evening Bitcoin halves?

If reading this retrospectively, what did you do the day of bitcoins halving?

Me for sure will go to work like every day. Cannot lost the money even of only day. But even cannot understand why must do otherwise. What is the halving to be celebrated? What kind of good is for bitcoin this event? If the price will go higher cannot be within this day. At least with much probability. Other thing that can affect bitcoin I cannot see. Maybe I don't see all the picture but is a normal day for me. I am curious if the first block of halving will be produced around 2-3 a.m. what will be made but those who wait this day as a big day. What does it mean? Remain without sleeping only to see this block which will be 12.5 bitcoin. To tell the right for me it will be a stupidity to remain without sleep only for this thing. I love bitcoin but more than bitcoin I love myself.

The difficulty will not halve. If you turn off due to the low profit, the difficulty will drop slightly.

Neither will I spend my bitcoin nor will buy any.I would rather wait and watch.Halving can make price go up for a short time but it will eventually settle down at somewhere around $600

Hah, we can only wish for that. Nah, the difficulty ll keep going up, nothing else but up. This is why I say BTC home mining is about to end. Unless you have chosen DMD Diamond cloud, that coin stakes, 25% per year so that helps out a lot.

As far as I know litecoin is now 3.5 USD compared to 1.2 USD last year.

The Chinese ponzi started the rise, but halving may have helped protecting it from going back to the 1.2 level.

I dont seriously think in any way that a ponzi can alter the price of bitcoin unless its just too big one. I have seen market prices go up and down when some big sites only get scammed. But, halving would give a big impact I too believe.

Nope, because my family don't really use bitcoin and they are not a lot of people that I know that use bitcoin.

I think the price will be very interesting to watch in the month leading up, on the night of the halving I will be happily hodling.  There should be a party somewhere in the US for all Bitcoin enthusiasts to celebrate.

It will do the demand very good that blocks will only contain 12.5 BTC. At this point there is a bit more supply than actual demand. It has changed right now as people are hoarding coins for the block halving. But at the end it will result in a higher price.

As the halving will be in the summer time, I have plans to travel and not give a bleep about the halving or Bitcoin. There will be no party and there will be no rocket in price just many people who have hyped suddenly realize they was wrong, or I was wrong and it rockets. Either way is good but its just another day.

imo there will be no sudden ''rocket'' in the bitcoin price but it will be a steady increase of it before and of course after the halving.
let's just wait and see
