Anyone know of good Xeon CPU mining settings?
I have a load of Xeon E5345 Quad Core CPU, and can't get much more than 100 H/s per core, which is crap!
I have a old Intel Core I5 laptop that does many times better than this....
As a comparison...
1x Old Intel Core I5 laptop = ~4000 H/s total
1x E5345 Quad core Xeon CPU = ~300 H/s total
Any ideas?
Guessing you are using the generic miner for the xeon? I wish I had some input for you, but I can tell you I was testing when Primecoin was first released with a quad 12 core AMD opteron server... All 48 cores performed like shit. Maybe "server/non consumer" processors just aren't the way to go with this kind of stuff. |

The best for my E Xeon CPU is the Core2 version,, but still that is only ~100 H/s per core on my E5345 CPU. I also have a Xeon X5660 6x Core CPU and that totals ~12000 H/s which is cool.... I Just can't see why the E series CPU is so crap. Unless there is a specific instruction set kernel that hasn't been included with the CPU miner for Argon2 |
